Funny, I was never encouraged or helped to play any instrument but a lot of times I whistle tunelessly until a tune shows up. To me it's just about finding the notes that follow each other. But then 10,000 songs probably live in my head, so I have an inclination to music. The piano probably would have been a good fit for me.
