I know a place that does award winning jerky for 20 dollars a pound back home, but right now I'm thinking of getting a smoker and trying my hand at some real jerky. Getting old rules.

Funny, I was never encouraged or helped to play any instrument but a lot of times I whistle tunelessly until a tune shows up. To me it's just about finding the notes that follow each other. But then 10,000 songs probably live in my head, so I have an inclination to music. The piano probably would have been a good fit for me.

My boss was talking with me about Land Cruisers the other day, sounds like the best car in the world if you've got the cash. It just pointed out to me the absurdity of how we engineer. Like a fridge with the motor in back is $700. Put the motor on top so the fridge doesn't fight the heat anymore? $5000 or something ridiculous.

My sister has a friend that did this. It's a rough start but when you get rolling things can be really good. Use friends to contact local businesses so you can show up for their lunches once or twice a week. No more than twice though, I may be satisfied with the same quick lunch at work every day but most people want variety. Edit: thinking about it, once a week or two is gonna be enough mac and cheese for most people. After that you'd need to base it on clientele.

Oh, here's a thing we used to call "those good potatoes" when we were kids. You make a good sized pan of fried potatoes and onions and season it with a packet of 4 seasons (?) zesty italian dressing mix. It's so damn good.

Honestly can't get with the loaded fries. I used to like BK fries when they were unsalted. I'm into the fried potato with few frills. I thought it was a breakfast casserole when I looked at it, my sister makes that for Christmas sometimes. It's like an omelette on top of hashbrowns... So good. I remember her having some difficulty with it, but rest assured eggs can be baked.
