  2. Son Goku
  3. Why would Sasuke want to become Hokage if he wanted to destroy the Hidden Leaf Village? Life has many mysteries, but they come to light once we learn about what exactly we want out of life and its many wonders.
  4. Jumping from one shitshow to another to help out-of-touch grifters scam other fellow out-of-touch grifters. Or as professionals put it, B2B
  5. Wonder who the guy in the background could be?
  6. What a legend. I remember seeing Mori no Andou and Trap-kun, but I need to fall into more of the rabbit hole of this guy's work.
  7. The first two episodes of the Boogiepop remake are great. I can't say there's anything particularly that stands out well this season. Osamu Tezuka's Dororo looks awesome. Kaguya-sama might be decent. I like the vibes I get from Doukyonin wa Hiza and Ueno-san wa Bukiyou. Dimension High School could be hilarious. There's also "your mileage will vary" stuff like sequels, Promised Neverland, or Domestic Kanojo. Aside from those, nothing remarkable. Spring is shaping up to be far more interesting.
  8. None of my fetishes were from deep traumatic childhood memories, so I got the luck of the draw of having them come far later
  9. I thought for a second that the cult from Penguindrum referenced Happy Science, but it was actually Aum Shinrikyo. Same with the cult from Haruki Murakami's 1Q84. In the process of trying to connect the dots, I also learned that it wasn't until just this past July that their leader and some of his followers were executed by hanging for their 1995 terrorist attack at the Tokyo subway. The difference between Happy Science and Aum Shinrikyo, however, would be that Aum has more references made about them while Happy Science has enough influence to make the references themselves. Like the difference between Scientology and Heaven's Gate where it's clear the latter was never going to make big budget productions about their ideology.
  10. Apparently, a paid ad showed up on ANN showing an advert for The Laws of the Universe Part I. The catch is that it was created and funded by the Happy Science cult. The article (It's gone now, but still exists in the changelog): https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/advertorial/2019-01-03/the-box-office-hit-movie-the-laws-of-the-universe-part-i-is-more-than-just-a-sci-fi-anime-adventure/.141313 An old article by Mike Toole from 2015 was republished to make amends for the snafu, but it's always amusing to poke fun at PR mistakes this messy.
  11. Leading up to a 2020 Olympics in Japan...
  12. Could Fist of the North Star Regenesis be coming to Toonami?
  13. Watched it last night, and honestly, it felt like I'd seen this movie before. Like a mashup of The Happening and every other survival movie known to man.
  14. For the longest time, I never understood how people could get into balloons. I see the light now.
  15. Along came a spider, Sat down beside her, And said, "Hey, what's in the bowl, bitch?" OHHHHHHHHH!
  16. To add to this, we’ve often used Jiffy in recipes that weren’t corn bread. Like as a topping for chili pie or a corn casserole.
  17. Only cornbread made from Jiffy mix. Otherwise, cornbread is cornbread.
  18. Futa Miku is too good for us
  19. If each company's presumed work conditions were ranked on a scale from "moderately do-able" to "ass on fire", I'd rank them as: Madhouse > P.A. Works > Bones > Ghibli > KyoAni > Sunrise > Production I.G. > Studio Pierrot > SHAFT > A1 Pictures > JC Staff

    LOL!

They got too cocky, but the PS Classic flopped for the same reason the Playstation Smash Bros clone flopped: A good bulk of their legendary catalog is third-party, so they have to depend on the fortune of a company to not only clear the license but also give them the best version of the game. With Playstation Smash Bros, you could’ve had Solid Snake, Crash, Spyro, Lara Croft, Cloud Strife, and other characters that defined the system. Instead, you had subpar unmemorable characters from Sony Exclusives and questionable third-party reps. Yippee, the guy from Kill Zone, the guy from Starhawk, Big Daddy from Bioshock and Donte in the fight of the century! Similarly, PS Classic is also missing Crash, Spyro, Tomb Raider, FF VIII, FF Tactics, Symphony of the Night, Parappa, Medieval, Ape Escape, Gran Turismo 2, and many more. You also have Twisted Metal 2 and Persona 2 EP left out in favor of their mediocre first games. On top of this, the final roster has some decent choices like FFVII, Tekken 3, and Metal Gear Solid, but leaves a lot to be desired. Would you look at a system that has Destruction Derby, Intelligent Qube, and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six packed in and say, "Hey! That sounds like a steal at $100"?
  21. In a century from now, yes. Furry art will probably be gathered and deemed culturally significant as one of the many cultural movements sparked in the 2000's. At the moment, however, the answer will be "No" for an indefinite period of time.
  22. I did hear that Funi dubs songs for the physical release, but for the sake of time, opt out of singing for the simulcast. It’s like that with other Funi anime, but hopefully it means they are willing to dub the songs and the rap battle so it feels less jarring for Saki and Sakura to transition into a rap battle in an entirely different language.
  23. Yuugiri is one of the more fascinating girls because of her background. For someone born in the late 1800's, she's the most enthusiastic girl in the group when it comes to the prospect of learning more about how much the world has changed from the time of her demise to 2018. Her former job as a courtesan also provides some funny moments where she incorporates burlesque, shamisen, and interpretive dance into her mannerisms. She also has one of the more amusing running gags of slapping someone with disdain even though the person she's slapping agrees with her. Aside than Saki, Yuugiri was very endearing to me and it would be cool to learn more about her past.
