I’d assume it’s so that people don’t rag on anyone’s particular mic quality or any delays that might’ve come back from when it was recorded or simulcast. But who’d be the jerk to get pissed or nitpicky about VA’s working remote? The one production I remember having remote dubbing publicized, it was 13 Sentinels, but that might’ve been necessary for that because release delays wind up being a bigger deal for video games than a simulcast. Also, it’d be a neat thing to mention after the fact because of the impressive hurdles that went into pulling it all off. Where I can see it being a victory lap for managing to dub a show from home studios.

I saw a “TRUMP WILL BE BACK 2024” on a house that was still waving a 2020 flag for most of last year off of the “big lie” rationale. On one hand, at least they finally conceded defeat and reached the copium stage one year after Jan 6. On the other hand, they’re not even hiding that the end goal of having another republican president is solely based on getting revenge on everyone who voted against him. No policy or vision; just pure spite.

That’s crazy. Kinda surreal because Urusei Yatsura felt like an anime that was always going to be trapped in the 80’s. I got high hopes for it though because noitaminA is awesome and I got a soft spot for Rumiko Takahashi.

Thanks! I’m feeling a lot better now. I think reflecting on 2021 only made me think of the worst things that have happened and not looking on the bright side. She recovered well from the operation, we got to move to a new place, had a good vacation in the summer, and I’m still happy with the ink I got. As a more lighthearted rant, my job is really on one. They’re in the process of merging with a company that promises holidays off, but my startups’ last hurrah is having us all work on New Years Eve until we reach a certain quota. We’re all bound to finish by 2pm, but it’s just rich that they wanted to have the last word since they used to have us work holidays as punishment if we weren’t available on call for the holiday beforehand.
