The Kemono Friends situation was bad enough for the staff and voice actors to actively disavow Kadokawa for canning the director, so this is more fuel to an already burning fire bad enough to shake the company and anime production internally. The en masse resigns and Kadokawa’s general shittiness will probably force Season 2 into prematurely killing the series when it had so much potential beforehand. The High Guardian Spice situation is just neckbeards getting upset about cartoons not geared towards them, like when they didn’t make She-Ra look like a drag queen in “Heavy Metal!” Cosplay so she must be the dreaded CalArts SJW boogeyman. People are mad that their subscriptions somehow helped fund it other than the whole ATT acquisition, but these same folks are holding Netflix to be the bastion of new anime when they funded the Death Note movie and keep almost all of their new anime in jail until they lose relevance.

Some old woman turns out to be the villain all along. Naruto beats up Sasukes relatives and the old woman with the power of friends. Sasuke turns out to still be a bitch even after joining Naruto, so Naruto has to fight him. It’s a draw because they both lose arms, but their consolidation prize is that they later have wives to help wank them off. Naruto and Hinata make Burrito and a daughter. Sasuke and Sakura make Salad. Burrito is angry all the time because Boruto’s Dad is busy doing Hokage work instead of paying attention to him. Salad is confused because Sakura is her single mom while Sasuke is out in the middle of nowhere, only coming over to visit occasionally to smash. Everyone gets married and has kids. Even Orochimaru fucks himself to make a child that can go to school.

How many click-bait "IS [insert popular anime or flavor-of-the-month anime] BAD!?!?!?!?!?!?" videos can you watch before you realize it's the same shit?

Their phone app is solid, but I don’t believe I’ve gotten to have a full episode on the PS3 before an Applebee’s commercial or Jackie Chan rhino horn PSA tanks the video. Haven’t tried the PS4 app, but the internet connection on console apps can be spotty

I hope Crunchyroll succeeds in making their own shows great since I've always appreciated their model of streaming simulcasts other than the outdated video player or how easily their console apps crash before you can even get past the OP. If it ends up being good, it could open the door for more creatives to come up with cooler concepts and help them get the upper hand over sites like Netflix or Amazon who dropped the ball on their anime. Still, there is alot of cynicism I have towards the marketing angle they went with "look at how diverse we are with 50% women and diversity" when it doesn't say much of the show's premise, let alone that the staff they've shown us has a more diverse range of hair colors than racial background. The fact that it's a studio owned by AT&T also raises signals since AT&T is odious, but if the studio's creative efforts aren't compromised by their cable overlords, it might not be bad.

The small OVA's like Nyoro~n Churuya-san and Haruhi-chan were around the same time as Endless Eight, but the gap between Disappearance of Haruhi and the Disappearance of Nagato spin-off was 2010 and 2015, which is why it was very weird to get Haruhi material this late that was just a spin-off of Disappearance-era Yuki being bubbly and wanting turkey in the same year KyoAni was moving onto Sound! Euphonium.

The movie was also centered around Yuki, and her screen presense stood out the most in the film. I'd go as far as to say that it helped set the tone for Yuki to take the mantle with her spin-off getting an anime years after Disappearance and Endless Eight.

All it takes to make magic is propane and propane accessories.

What a nightmare that was. I remember being there for the original release and watching week in, week out, hoping they weren’t seriously going to stretch it out for eight weeks. It was the ballsiest decision KyoAni could’ve done with the material, and it straight up murdered Haruhi. They had to center the next two anime around Yuki Nagato just because Haruhi had the connotation of being part of an embarrassing fad where we got excited for a franchise that wasted everybody’s time with Endless Eight. That being said, I’d be up to catch some of the marathon to crack open a brewski and reminisce. It’s been a while since I've heard, “Kyon-kun, den wa!”

RIP. The dude's done so many amazing performances. To think both VA's for Hercule and Heihachi are gone now.

I had it at a festival one time and it tasted like vanilla ice cream if you made it using milk that was starting to go bad. That being said, it was better than I expected.

I don't know how to nap. It either just happens or I roll around in bed and suffer awake the whole time.
