  1. The point that you missed was to bag on the show, but that did make me laugh anyway.
  2. Psychiatrists and psychologists are trained to spot the fakers.
  3. You would be correct. I don't believe in gambling. Especially when I don't have a lot of money to do it with in the first place.
  4. Great customer service. Though it would've been better if they included a note about it in the package. "Thank you for your order! Since you made a rather large order, here's some extra on us!"
  5. This thread didn't deserve to be bumped.
  6. You sure do.
  7. That's a rather interesting chart, thank you for that, I bookmarked it. Self distributed CDs are also an option, but we would have to spend the money up front to get them made, and it would only be in small quantities. I don't like the idea of an album going out of print after 300 copies are sold. I know there's the digital only option, but my dream goal has always been to release a CD. And from what I've seen, metal fans are much more likely to buy physical formats than fans of a lot of other genres (metal fans also buy a lot of vinyl too, and some even cassettes). EDIT: And another thing to consider in that today's musical landscape the real money is in playing live and sell merch, and it's a lot easier to do that with a label backing you with promotion.
  8. I know major labels only goal is to steal your soul. Indie labels are the way to go. But even with indie labels you need to get a music lawyer to go over the contracts. And not the studio lawyer. I actually took a music business class at the local community college, so I do know a little bit about the whole riggarmarole.
  9. Interesting. The reason I want to be on Metal Blade is they're one of the biggest metal labels in the world, and could get us in brick-and-mortar shops, and they have other doomy bands on their roster currently.
  10. Fuck yeah, dude. I'd love to be signed to Metal Blade.
  11. Yeah I got a half stack right now.
  12. I wanna say in 2016 the distortion pedal I had been using since the 90s as a teenager finally broke. The knobs were coming off and shit was sliding underneath it. I let my drummer look at it as he is an experienced electrician, but he said there's really nothing to do for it. Luckily I had a back-up distortion pedal that I got probably in the mid 2000s that I hardly used. But I recently ditched that in favor of the distortion built into my amp.
  13. Good strategy. For guitar, we not only need the guitar, we also need an amp, pedals, cables, and constantly buying new strings.
  14. Music is an expensive hobby. But then again, I guess so are video games.
  15. Ah, interesting. Another reason I picked recorder was because I bought one for $5.00 so I was like, "If I don't stick to it, who cares, I'm only out $5.00."
  16. I don't like the tone of the saxophone. I like the sounds of some flutes, like the really breathy kind of sound in say, Jethro Tull I'm not interested in. I think for some reason I figured flute would be harder than recorder. But it doesn't matter, guitar is once again my instrument of choice.
  17. I wanted to play a woodwind, especially tin whistle, but the recorder is a chromatic instrument and theoretically that means I can use it to play in any key, while I guess in tin whistle you can only play in one key in one whistle, and they only come in two different keys.
  18. In early 2016, before I got back into guitar again, I briefly tried playing the recorder. It didn't stick.
  19. The only thing I can think of is to add "-donald -president"
  20. I remember the World of Ruin airship music but not the World of... of.... damn, I can't even remember what it was called before World of Ruin. EDIT: World of Balance. That's it.
