We had a laserdisc player... I didn't use it much. The vast majority of our laserdiscs (If not literally all of them) consisted of live concerts of bands my dad likes... I can specifically remember Pink Floyd's Pulse, Led Zeppelin's The Song Remains the Same (of course that one's not just a live performance), and something by The Doobie Brothers. Can't say I share the nostalgia for laserdiscs.... You had to flip the damn things over like vinyl records... which fucking sucks watching a movie. DVD's rendered those obsolete.

Sometime in the 90s, it was either Christmas Eve day or Christmas day, my dad had to go to the hospital, turned out he had diverticulitis, and had to have a large portion of his intestines removed.

My cousin went to West Point right after high school. I would imagine the scenario would be much different for a prior vet such as yourself, but for his experience, freshman are called "Plebs" and the upperclassmen are the big men on campus, and they make it so the plebs can literally not say one word to anyone unless they are in their rooms. Although I would think they were allowed to speak if an upperclassman or officer spoke to them first prompting them to respond, but I don't know.

I don't know how the sexual harassment laws work in Ohio, but in California, I'm pretty sure Ghostie's coworker could definitely be punished for sexual harassment in this scenario... And before that happens, Ghostie is trying to make it known he wants no part of it, to cover his ass. If I were him, I probably would have started with telling his co-worker something like, "I don't think this is appropriate talk for the workplace," if that didn't work, then remind the coworker about the reprocussions (mother fucker I can't spell) of sexual harrassment, and if THAT didn't work, then go to the boss about it.

lol I already explained in the thread: EDIT 2: Ok, should be good to go. EDIT 3: If you already read that, and your question is why would that scenario be so bad.... If I go to a 12 hour work shift from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, that completely fucks up my sleeping schedule for the next day's (and rest of the week's) night schedule. If I have to be at work by 6:00 AM, I'll probably want to go to bed no later than, like 8:30 PM. If I go to bed at 8:30 PM, I'll probably get up naturally no later than like, 7:00 AM. And then I would have to be up another 24 hours to wait until my next work day, work that work day, get home, and go to sleep. Alternatively, I would have to force myself to stay up hella late the night after my day shift so I could go to a bed at a time to where I would wake up at a time where I wouldn't get up TOO early for my night shift the next day, so I wouldn't have to work while being up for 24+ hours. But it doesn't matter, everything's been fixed.

Well, one crisis averted. I talked to HR in person, I was put on day shift in error, and they fixed it, so I'm scheduled to work that night, now.
