What is your favorite interpretation of hell?
rpgamer replied to SwimModSponges's topic in Free-For-All
Sarte said it best. Hell is other people. -
My "naps" are typically longer than what I get later at night. I just call it a split sleep schedule. Get home from work, unwind, grab a bite to eat, and crash for about 4 hours, wake up, more food, shower, internetting, try to sleep for a few more hours before work.

The Venture Bros. are coming back this summer!
rpgamer replied to Raptorpat's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
I'd make a jab at how this is classic ASMB, where the comedy side gets zero discussion. But damn, back in the day, VB had its fair share of buzz. Can't help but wonder if we might never get a satisfying conclusion out of this, out of worry that it might not be getting the attention it used to. But, so far, this season as been spectacular, with some great twist ending reveals. -
The only thing I remember about geology is that it basically turned into an intro to meteorology, with how much it covered geological effects on the weather. But, I remember so little from that class, sometimes I'm not even sure I ever actually took it.

Favorite use for collected bacon drippings was sauteeing pierogies.

Unit conversions are the best part. Hell, half the time I could totally wing an entire equation just by knowing what units I needed the answer to be in. Just gotta arrange all the pieces until everything else cancels out.

Pan fry? Bacon is better baked. Although, personally, I've enjoyed using a large Foreman grill for bacon in the past. Flat and crispy, and all the fat is neatly collected to be used to sautee anything else or salad dressings or whatever you decide to use it for.

Seems like it'll be interesting having OPM and MHA in the same block now. Personal opinion is OPM is way better with the hero gimmick. But maybe that's just because it doesn't focus on Yet Another Kid in training to save the world or whatever. Skip all the boring buildup and get to the fun stuff.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 214 Discussion
rpgamer replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
Damn, this story is getting way too clogged with retreading the same flashbacks. We get it. Sakura was obsessed to the point of delusion. We get it. Sasuke never gave a shit about anyone. -
Pop Team Epic, Episode 7: "Hellshake Yano"
rpgamer replied to Blatch's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
Admittedly, Hellshake Yano was an interesting sketch. Like, they even went so far as to draw the back of the head on the proceeding sheet of paper during the head banging. That was well done. I'm sure it's no coincidence that the best part of the show so far has been completely devoid of actual animation. -
boyfriend is going on a trip to montana next month
rpgamer replied to little_girl_lost's topic in Free-For-All
We're supposed to believe you have a boyfriend, and also that someone is willingly going to Montana? -
We can memetically pretend we hate Pop Team Epic all we want

I don't disagree with the idea, because yeah, the shounen has kinda gotten out of hand (or maybe BC just makes it feel that way with being too over the top). I guess I recognize that it's pretty much always been all shounen. But would it kill them to get something more in the vein of Black Lagoon once in a while? Idk. I'm just biased and personally want something with a little more depth than what we're getting. -
Sounds generic enough that they could've thought they were being totally original and clever.

How much doesn't fit into your car? Might even be cheap enough to consider mailing the excess to your destination. Pods and similar services seem more designed for "moving my whole (small) apartment" situations, as such, probably never worth it if it's just stuff sans furniture.

Is it weird that I expected this to be about pegging?

I would gladly watch GXP again if it were to replace PTE. -
Considering at least one or two major voice actors are dead, unlikely.
-
I've also just realized you would have to install this after you've taken a shit. Hopping around with your pants around your ankles, squeezing that shit smear up your whole crack, fiddling around with this thing in the bowl where you've just taken a shit. Better hope you got it good and clean last time you used it, or you're just smearing shit all over your hands trying to get this in place. At that rate, if you really want to save on toilet paper, you may as well just wipe your ass with your hand and save yourself the trouble.
-
Smear? I'm imagining once it's all clogged up with ass hair, shit's gonna be splattered from floor to ceiling.
-
Soooo, has anybody asked how that thing is supposed to stay clean?

What about subjectively judging whether something simply damaged the block's image? My main reason for picking on PoT was just how out of place it seemed, same as PTE. No matter how well it turns out, nothing can change how much it just doesn't really fit in. I really don't like a lot of the choices happening lately (Jojo needs to be put out to pasture, Hunter doesn't really seem to know what story it wants to tell, Black Clover is... yeah), but nothing ever made me look and ask "What is this doing on Toonami?" Like, how do you even fit anything PTE into one of Toonami's iconic thematic ads? The ones where they take clips from a bunch of different shows and put together something with a cohesive vibe, such as the new one we just got. I'd have to go back and check, but was anything PTE present in that? Is there anything you can pull out of the show to really complement the rest of the block in that same way? Personal bias says no, not really. Nothing about the show really belongs. Idk. I just find the ratings argument to lack a lot of context and nuance. Let's be real, a Family Guy marathon every week could probably beat out Toonami ratings. Toonami needs to keep viewers, sure, but I feel like even if this is a success in that regard, it comes at the cost of Toonami's identity. But that's just my opinion, and I've been known to have unreasonable expectations.
