So, is the SCOTUS Looking to Destroy the Country….
katt_goddess replied to 1pooh4u's topic in Current Events
The only person I've heard of that is claiming that any discussion about a limit on immunity = no immunity is Drumpf himself and all his sad little suck-ups. He wants immunity to be absolute for all the things but especially all those things he did for his personal gain. -

I already had fun with this question in another thread. Dumpster is going to be in a single cell just because of who he is anyway so they will only need one agent on the outside of the cell to babysit the little shitter, keep him from killing himself and keeping all visitors away. The assignment could go to either those on their way to retirement and therefore unfit for official street duty or those who are just starting and are assigned it as a form of patience training. Hell, I'd do it - just sitting outside the cell for the shift with a pile of reading materials, maybe tease his loser ass by using an e-reader with internet connection just out of his reach, eating snacks, never talking to him. -

No, but it does remove him from office forever based on his own actions. If immunity were absolute, actions wouldn't matter in the least. It also disconnects them from receiving any of the benefits a former president is allowed including Secret Service protection. -
We should send them a box of snap-pops and the rest of the aid in the form of water, food, clothing, medical supplies, and various tools to rebuild all the stuff they broke by hand.

If the founders had wanted presidential immunity to be forever and all-inclusive, they wouldn't have written into the Constitution how to go about IMPEACHING a president. That was included in case someone made it into the office that turned out to be absolutely unfit for continuing in that office. 'Immunity' ends when the actions being taken are not for the good of the country as a whole but are rather solely engaged in for personal gain. And since his own lawyers have publicly stated that his immunity would even allow him to order the assassination of political rivals from the Oval Office, that's a massive red flag for 'personal gain'. Further, if presidential immunity were absolute, the 25th amendment wouldn't include the language about the removal of a president because there could be no removal of a president other than death itself. -
VO 'And this is when he knew, he f*cked up...' Even his hair looks surprised in that photo.

rants Haters/Complainers: Legacy of Spleen
katt_goddess replied to mthor's topic in General Discussion
I found out yesterday that one of my favorite old stores is going to close for good June. Since I know I won't likely get back there for any last minute sales, I went today. Artisanal soaps, tea, a pair of socks with a swear on them, cat nip toys, a pack of sandalwood incense that my friend's apartment used to smell like. One last sit in the wooden booth in the back - it was the last place we all gathered together in one spot. One married [ but at least still lives in the area, our schedules just conflict ], one went to Canada to be treated for mental illness properly and without going into debt, one went crazy period, and one died. I feel like I'm the only one left in the group and now even the places we hung out are going to be gone. Already feeling miserable, I wanted to grab McD's on the way home only to find out that that particular McD's has been torn down and is now an empty lot. So tired of soup. I wanted medicinal fries. -
George W Bush thought he was related to Chuck Norris because his middle name is 'Walker'.

This is a novel take on it. But I would say its probably more of a trope in general than a rip-off. Kid has supernatural problem, kid goes to special school, has special friends with similar supernatural conditions, battles happen, everyone gets stronger over time. Holy crap, I just described 'Sailor Moon' for the most part. Itidori intentionally sealed the demon inside himself on impulse and remains aware of the demon's presence pretty much all the time. He isn't questing to be the greatest sorcerer ever, he's just staying alive long enough to digest all the until now indestructible fingers. Once he ingests the last one, Sakuna can finally be killed because Itidori will be executed. He isn't going to be hokagi. He won't even get to be a teacher at the school if things go the way they need to. As for there being only two people he constantly hangs out with, its because there are only two people in his 'class' at the time he's enrolled. As you watch more of it, you'll see him hanging out with other people in other classes/schools but the general thing is that there aren't a ton of people with the natural ability to be Jujitsu Sorcerers. You either have to have cursed energy, be able to handle cursed energy through objects, or be a curse user. However, you shouldn't be able to create curses yourself because that's a purely human thing. So there's only three kids in that 'class' and Gojo is the only one strong enough to smack down Sakuna if he manages to take over briefly after any finger foods. <.< >.> I've watched all the episodes so far as well as the movie and just recently finished #22...

2024 Presidential Elections: the schadenfreude commences
katt_goddess replied to NewBluntsworth's topic in Current Events
Friendly reminder that 'disclose.tv' is based in Germany and it's sole purpose is to deliberately spread conspiracy theories and disinformation while claiming its totally real news. Another tell is that purchased Blue Anus checkmark. -
A few notes - The whole 'elite colleges' is bullshit. It's been a reich-wing talking point for awhile now and they've been using every opportunity this chaos brings to get any college president they don't like fired. And so far those presidents have all been...female. So the next time you hear some gop crybaby on the news demanding that these universities do something about the horrible nasty protesters, double-check on exactly who the president is of the university they are name-dropping. Because it's probably a female, a minority, or both. If you think there are anti-Semites in those protests, good eye. If you think they were invited, bad form. Right now, these protests easily attract bad actors that are only there to cause shit and then blend into the background. They did it during the BLM marches where those that were caught on camera doing stupid shit were found to be out-of-towners/members of white supremist loser groups that used the crowds to cause problems that would then be blamed on those people peacefully marching. But don't fret, they'll be wearing their red hats again soon enough. If a certain fart machine decides to demand another test of allegiance, the only way to show that is by putting on that blazing 'I'm a moron' hat. And right now, Rafah is packed gut to butt with displaced refugees. How many children do you think the IDF is going to outright murder in order to claim they 'got 'em!'. They aren't going to go through there carefully looking for the 'bad guy'. They are going to bomb the shit out of everything, claim the holes left behind are proof of terror tunnels and not blasted to nothing sewers, and if there is any ground work it will include shooting literally anything that moves. Netanyahu thinks he's some sort of reincarnated Levite priest ordering the complete destruction of a country's lawful occupants because the desert winds told him to. Either that or reincarnated Hitler since that timings right too and its still about the genocide.

You can't leave mass amounts of dead bodies out in the open. It spreads disease to the rest of the population and to be even more blunt, the smell gets into everything possible and is all but impossible to remove. To deny that there are mass graves at this point is bullshit. There aren't enough people left healthy to bury each murder victim individually and there hasn't been reports of plagues yet to show that bodies aren't being dealt with in some way quickly.

Into the Never-ending "George Santos" Rabbithole

Only if the feather boa doesn't clash with the eye shadow. Party foul. -
There's a reason why they haven't been bragging about how great flooding the tunnels has been going despite how proud they were to start that project. They are still supposedly doing that, but no one is allowed to report about it.

I do because my cable and internet are the same damn thing. Plus, I do like the idea of having to look forward to something I enjoy watching once a week. I'll hunt down other things through other means, but I'll stay up for at least a few shows every Saturday night.

Irritable Bowels? Yes. Yes it is.

I was going to point out that we already have that actively going on in ND when Lt. FART decided she was the pre-emptive heir to the Governorship but House Rep FART decided he wants to be Governor and now they are trying to see who can scream the loudest about how orange their noses are through neverending political commercials. But I see we've moved on to log cabins.

McCarthy Speaker & GOP House Majority Drama
katt_goddess replied to Master-Debater131's topic in Current Events
Naw. This is just him realizing that the only way he'll survive a GOP dutchoven is if he actually works for the people which means working with democrats. -
Drumpf is going to be the first person held in contempt of court for farting up the place. He might need a gag order for both ends.

Part of me wants to say yes, but the more rational part of me says that the smell of super AIDS slowly heating up in the oven would be enough to give you super AIDS anyway. And probably ruin the oven. And the apartment.

I don't feel like looking up the link for confirmation but I do seem to remember that if there's a disease in the brain, anyone that eats that part of the human raw will get sick. And obviously if they are an active ball of horrific STDs, you could potentially get something, especially if again you are eating raw human meat. [ insert puke emoji here ] Anything you might pick up from eating pig products, you can pick up from eating human.
