  1. Someone said there'd be coffee???? I don't drink coffee every day mainly because I make it in a French press when I do and I hate cleaning it. But when I do make some, it's a full press and is often followed by a nap or a fight against a nap. Coffee makes me sleepy. If you want to see drunk-wired, see me after a few Mountain Dews though.
  2. Needs googly eyes.
  3. I'm too tired to quiet quit.
  4. That's called an Upper Decker and it's the gift that keeps on giving...at someone else's house.
  5. Nope. I beat the living shit out of the bag with the shit spatula and then poured kitty dirt into it. And then put the bag in the kitchen trash bag. And then took the kitchen trash bag to the dumpster where I whipped it in there from a distance because that's full of bees. Also, I took out the luggage to get things ready and to give Bitchcakes time to accept a future weekend disappearance. She proceeded to find a big ass spider-bug somewhere, brought it over to the suitcase and ate it over the handle so bits of slime bug got all over it. While watching me. I'm surrounded by horrors.
  6. Went and grabbed a plastic bag to clean the litter box. Sit down on the floor, open the bag, and grab the scoop. See giant spider just hanging out inside the damn bag. I need a new rubber litter catcher mat. This one has a spatula-sized crater in it now.
  7. This all sounds very very familiar. I recall when HBO first became a Thing. It was going to be one of the greatest content providers in the history of ever with all the premium stuff at premium price. The satellite dish in the backyard was a giant status symbol. Now there's like 20 different variations of HBO and absolutely none of them are worth the costs because most of them carry nothing but the uncensored versions of whatever movie is also already playing on a basic cable channel. And even that is less noticeable since most movies on basic have 99% of the swearing intact. Oh yeah, and I guess Cookie Monster still eats cookies on the episodes on HBO Kids. You can't gut the staff while claiming you are going to provide all the greatest of streaming services. You end up with one dude, a dart and a spinning wheel of choices that all say 'marathon'.
  8. A rough estimate of Yoda Bird right now has him at roughly 12 years old. The average life expectancy for a parakeet is 7-10 years. He was conceived in my frickin' living room and hatched in a bowl with three other siblings. I kept him because he had splayed leg syndrome and I didn't want anyone to think he was disposable because of the deformity. He's currently so old he can't really fly anymore and tends to become a fascinating toy for Bitchcakes to ponder whenever he forgets he can't really fly anymore. His deformity makes it hard for him to walk and perch too so he sleeps on a special platform perch so he can be up high and feel secure. I'm now having to figure out how to outfit the large cage for a non-flying 'keet to safely navigate without cramping his flying boyfriend so that everyone gets fed and exercised while I'm out of town without my friend having to try to grab him and put him in the seed tray physically. -.-; No one seems to carry plain metal ladders which are the easiest for him to pull himself up to wherever he wants to go. There's going to be a lot of treats on the bottom of the cage and two very fat birds.
  9. Life...ah...finds a way.
  10. <.< >.> Post in all the Clubs you have access to. Certain people will never see it coming not be able to compete. * * * Go away heat and humidity. You are slowing the ever loving crap out of the dry and set time on my projects. I could have had the counters cleared by now and the shoe project staged for completion. Jerk humidity.
  11. As entertaining as having an autograph book that looks like a Death Note [ because let's face it, every one will pop off at some point so any autograph book is technically a Death Note... <.< >.> ] , it does seem bad form just because. The only truly entertaining use I've seen for a Death Note at a Con was this dude dressed as George R.R. Martin. He nailed it. And whenever someone would give him the pseudo-grief over killing off some character, he'd bring out the Death Note and ask them what their name was. Fabulous.
  12. To be fair, I'll do that if there's ranch left from getting wings with a pizza in order to not waste something that probably cost me anyway. I usually dip the crust ends so it's more like bread sticks.
  13. I thought Dr Drew was MTV? Love Line with Dr Drew and Adam Corolla. I haven't really watched VH1 or MTV in probably a decade, at the least. It was all moving away from music even in the 90's and just went down the toilet after the 00's started. My cable company doesn't even carry them anymore. I think the only time I catch any of it is if I'm at a hotel and there's a clipshow marathon on MTV and nothing else is on. Then it's background noise.
  14. I just minimized the Archives, so I don't even see anything that used to look familiar and accidentally click in.
  15. I hate sudden onset nausea. It's not even 7p yet and I'm headed to bed with cold water and cold sweats and the knowledge I still have one more day of work left to this week.
  16. My cat will poop on the floor if I'm not home by 7p on a Wednesday because that's her schedule and any change to said schedule results in a poop on the carpet. She also pooped on the carpet when I changed the blankets on the bed, when I got her a new cat tree with a ramp for her achy kitty joints, and when the apartment building changed the carpet and paint colors in the hallway. Stop pooping on the carpet just because something changed. You don't have the tail to get away with it.
  17. On the old boards, I think it actually got to the point where a thread was locked at a set post count just to keep from slow loading and being a bog. So locking a big thread for being big isn't anything new, it's just not something that has ever been actively done here because it's not being a bog. But with boards being reset, it's the perfect opportunity to also restart solid topics. And spamming a new meme thread into the triple digit post column in record time.
  18. Honestly, if there's a previous thread that was hopping, that you were the OP of, and you'd rather the old one be continued until it reaches black hole depths of gravity, ask and Arise Chicken Arise. But if it was super huge already, consider making a new version. It might bring in others who didn't go near the original thread because of it being so massive.
  19. I posted boob. Also Jon Schnepp died July of that year and there was a lingering spike of people posting about that that stuck around for a bit after. And I think there was something big in Toonami that fall which always brings posting.
  20. If it means that I can eat it as a meal without anyone giving me crap for it, then hell yes melted ice cream is a soup. Crumble some cookies in it instead of crackers. As for tipping, I don't use a calculator app. My fone is potato. But when I am in a tipping situation at a restaurant, I'm fairly confident in saying I round up and tip higher than I probably would if I was being a jerk and using a calculator app.
  21. In the beginning, they didn't have the budget for much of anything hence the cheap black-n-whites that are now 100% associated with [ as ] . But they did get a message board which offered up not just 'official' Dear [ as ] suggestions but entire folders of people just posting. If you wanted ideas for the weekend bumps, all you really had to do was skim the folders to see which was the most popular topics or jot ideas down from random posts about random things that just inspired. It wasn't like they were locked only into the Culture folder with the official submissions. There was an entire community that came for the channel but stayed for the people and they all had opinions about lamps and shoehands. There was interaction between the Bump Team and Users. Hell, if you had a decent real question about something, you might just as easily get a reply on the boards instead of on tv which was just as fun as far as I was concerned. They don't have the level of interaction or inspiration anymore. Their social media presence is just sort of homogenized and the comments that get aired are often farmed from a question they intentionally put out at some point. It's hard to get to the same level of 'creativity' that made Dancing Stick and the AquaMan Dance Party bumps such strangely enticing blips on the screen when everywhere you go is a stream of the same thing being repeated over and over again because that's all the salmon in those streams are capable of anymore.
  22. The only thing that seems to have happened is the amount of time they have to spend on a bump has been shortened. It also 'tastes' like there is a shift of newer members to the Bump Team.
  23. Lived on an island in Voyageurs National Park for two weeks. Worked a summer in Medora by Theodore National Park.
  24. I was called in and went because why not. When asked what I did in my spare time to unwind, I honestly said that I watch lots of cartoons late at night. I was put on a federal trial.
  25. The way people have been talking about Love Death + Robots, I think I'm putting an old Canadian penny on that one winning. Nothing against RC but they don't even advertise if they are releasing seasons on DVD/BluRay anymore and that's a warning flag to me.
