Farting is the only productive thing I do at work.

All of the contestants are stunningly talented at what they do (why else are they there?). I've also been watching a lot of America's Next Top Model, and what I like about Drag Race is the risk and creativity. While things like "being wild" or "ugly" are presented as a challenge in ANTM, many contestants embrace a wilder, over the top approach as their primary aesthetic mode of drag, and it results in some real cool and innovative shit. I didn't think I'd like it either, but here I am.

I feel like I should give this show a try though. It might be fun, if not all that good.

My favorite part is when RuPaul and the judges provide succinct but straightforward critiques of the performances/photoshoots/outfits for the queens up for elimination, followed by the one-on-one reactions of each respective queen talking about how their performance/photoshoot/outfit was actually the fucking best and they don't deserve to be considered for elimination. Like damn, girl. Are you even listening?

I have never seen Jem and The Holograms, but holy shit did I almost lose it thinking you were arguing The Misfits lyrics as feminist and empowering. Now I know what I'm listening to for the rest of the day: Also hell yeah the villains of the show seem fucking cool.

Because the light sheet is simply lighter, it's easier for it to move between you and the heavy sheet. You might think the weight of the first sheet would hold the other down, but in fact it only provides a relatively sturdy surface for your feet to slide the lighter sheet away from you.

I'm typically involved in arts communities. Back in New Hampshire I was the coordinator of my school's Writers in The Schools program. Here in Washington, I'm still active in open mic poetry nights, supporting local artists, volunteering time to help build a new arts center, etc. I've been thinking about running/helping run writing workshops at the local penitentiary. (Haven't looked into it, so somebody might've beaten me to the punch.)
