that cold air flow duct is key, even if the run is only a couple feet. if the run is several feet, you have to also adjust your system pressure balance to account for the resistance in the longer beer line. there are tables online to help you determine how to get that magic ≤1 psi at the tap by manipulating co2 regulator pressure, and beer line tubing type and length.

there are 10 cubic foot narrow fridges with freezers on top for $300 and up. separate door for the freezer and everything. i just don't know if they'd clear a kegerator setup. total height is like 60", so it's possible.

i had a "true" commercial merchandising fridge go down on me a month ago at the bar. it was a fancy counter-height deal with two sliding glass doors. they run about $2,000 new, and it's probably 8 years old. to replace the frozen compressor would have cost about $1,000 + labor, so we pulled it out and put a couple mini fridges from home depot behind the bar in place of it. it was only used to keep soda / mixers / fruit cold, so it's not like we needed anything with display doors or commercial features. the mini fridges cost $150 each, and they have the little mini freezers in the top. these little fellers aren't big enough to build kegerators out of though; they're just not that tall. you generally have to step up to the $300+ range to find a newer, narrow fridge with enough height to clear the keg + coupling + hoses. or you can get one of the old ones for $50 off fb / craigslist that will eat up $200 of electricity a year. there are a lot of taller 24" fridges out there, the only question is are they tall enough. OR you can maybe find a used kegerator fridge for a couple hundred, and mod it to work with your dispensing system.

i'd like to watch you wander through your day, masquerading as an upstanding member of society. i'll provide the laugh track. my bank is a small one. 3/4 of the staff are women. however, 3/4 of the executive / administrative level and up are men, including 100% of the board and all but one loan officer. we have a couple officers who hit creep-level with how they talk to secretaries and tellers (i'm sure they'd say they're just making conversation, but it's more about body language than actual language), and our president has a tendency to bed female staff on occasion, but pretty much everyone else avoids crossing that line like the plague. i manage IT and bookkeeping. it's been my goal since starting here 8 years ago, to keep my departments as informal and loose as possible. helps lighten the mood and break the monotony. we crack jokes and use language that would curl toes in the front offices, and sometimes we get chewed out for it (well, usually just me). but we've never, to my knowledge, had an issue with someone being uncomfortable to the extent that it caused an issue. the bar is juuust a bit different. i used to get hit on a lot when i pulled shifts as a bartender (younger, thinner, more attractive version of me anyways), most often by older women with whom i wouldn't entertain the thought. that sometimes got a bit awkward, but it was usually just annoying and never got offensive to someone who's not easily offended.

no idea what reaper shots would be. ghost pepper, yeah. pureed some ghost pepper to add into a homemade hot sauce one time. fuck. me. there's also a local creamery that makes a ghost pepper cheese. too hot man, too hot.
