Getting kicked out

Basically my mom's flipping out over every little thing. I mean she's going apeshit crazy.

I'm not sure what I can do in terms of apartments though lol. I make $2k a month and the cheapest apartments within twenty miles of my job go for like $800, and I read online that as a general rule of thumb your income has to be 3x your rent in order for you to get the apartment. Shit... I might have to live out of my car and not watch TV or play my PS4 for a while.  >(

as longs as you live within your means you can do it.

that's around what I make, and my mortgage is 800, and I make it by just fine.

how is your credit?

I don't even know what my credit's like lol. I've made all my credit card payments, but I defaulted on some federal student loans.

Yeah I mean I can always do the car thing, and I know I can easily make an $800 apartment work even without getting a second job, but what I'm reading makes it seem like you have to earn 3x the rent or else you're SOL.

You aren't SOL. The reason you want to have that 3x range is to be able to meet your monthly bills and save for the future.

Don't get premium cable channels.

Get cheaper internet.

Use a pre-paid cell instead of a land line.

are you actually asking or are you being zeni? if you're actually asking then no, that's not the case. rent needs to be 30% of your income or less, it's not rent * 3 >= can rent an apartment. if you make $2000, you should be able to pull maybe an apartment for $650 but knowing the area you live in that's a non-starter. you might want to rent a room from someone instead of actually getting an apartment

Gross!! Cannot do that unless the roommate's a girl, preferably with a job lined up after her HS graduation next month, but that means I have to meet her within the next week or so or else I'll have to wait until next year.

But Zeni, if she's graduating next month she's probably 18 isn't that too old for you.

That would be a nice arrangement lol, but I'll probably stick to just inviting these cuties over. Nah I'm serious about the situation though.

If you're going to live in a car, find out how much a gym membership is where you are.  Even if you're technically homeless, you gotta keep up appearances with showering.

Yeah I was thinking about a gym membership, but I'll probably just hit up the 24/7 Wal-Mart at like 3am and figure out how to do it slowly, since I always take a nap when I get home from my job and end up being awake in the very early morning hours.

But I need a place of my own to live in.  :|

Eh... Car won't be so bad. If only I could somehow hook up my PS4 and a TV inside of it.

Auto supply stores sell inverters.  They change 12 volts DC from the cigarette lighter to 120 volts AC.  You won't get a lot of amperage that way, but it should at least run your TV and PS.

you actually still live with your parents wow.. theres usually fixed income apartments that will

base your rent off of your income, a lot of times

Right... but unless it's rent controlled or reserved for welfare recipients, the tenant has to be a senior citizen over age sixty five.

They don't really go by that anymore with income and housing, it's just not realistic anymore.

Anywho.....roommates mutha fucka....get some

At least they have it for seniors in Atlantic City.  Community Haven Apartments charges only about twenty percent of income.

You feel that? That feeling right there? That feeling like you can't get shit done? That feeling that "Fuck, I don't have the money," or, in your case "Fuck, I'm screwed"? That's what it's like to have your balls drop and start becoming an actual man, bitch. Your faux alpha-male bullshit is exactly that: bullshit. A REAL man knows how to overcome this situation. I really do hope you get kicked the fuck out. It's past time for you to get off your momma's teat and start doing your own shit. Too bad I also don't believe you, either. Either way. I hope things go badly for you, motherfucker. :|

Yeah, it'd be nice but we all know he's going to be posting about watching cable at his mom's house for years to come.

The Senior Living by me is outrageous, $5,000 a month regardless of income.

Me personally, when I hit senior status I'm going to live in my summer home on the Staten Island Ferry and I'll winter on the A train ::]::

For five grand a month, it's probably a full service nursing home.
