Good News Everybody! Science says drink coffee!

Depends on how big a "cup" is. The study the article links to was based on caffeine, not coffee. 100mg caffeine per 6 oz is average for coffee. 4 of those size servings would only be 24 oz, or 3 cups. If you really drink 32 oz you'll go over the healthy 400 mg limit of caffeine. At least you can drink 8 true 8oz cups of black tea or 10 true 8oz cups of green tea before reaching the limit. In other words, tea > coffee  :fap:

What's wrong with Starbucks? It's overpriced, but the baristas grind the coffee beans themselves, unlike most other places. They have really good French Press that most people never bother ordering. (I used to do prep work for them when I worked at a travel plaza.)

I agree that their coffee isn't really high quality, but it still is better than most other chains, at least in my opinion. Their regular lattes aren't coated in sugar. I'm just saying behind the veneer of white girls screaming for their instagram poses of pumpkin spice and unicorn frappuccinnos, it's not that bad, just overpriced.

Oh, whatever. I don't want to dampen the tone of this thread. Coffee is love. Coffee is life.

I like Dunkin actually.  They have good coffee for a chain.

That's not even counting another related but not directly applicable issue to caffeine.  If you need 400mg of caffeine a day, particularly in the morning, then there is significant chance that you're not getting sufficient sleep and incurring health issues as a result.

I think the flaw with these studies is that they study like 10 people and the media in turn says it's fact >:D

I think the flaw is that they are paid for by Starbucks.

also, fuck Starbucks and their stupid ass frappucappumachiatocinno garbage. I used to like Starbucks when I worked in Chicago, I could stop in and for 3 bucks pick up an espresso with a bit of sugar in the morning walking on my way to the office. Now you can't get out without paying like 8 bucks for coffee that is half as good and some retarded 17 century Belgian Lesbian Studies grad student mangling your name and expecting a tip for it.

Unfuckingbelievable.  :|

Dunkin Donuts french vanilla for the win, and about a third of the price.  O0

You must spend 8 bucks on a 410 calorie drink! ::spin:: :barf:

Too rich for my blood, in more ways than one. :D

I get my coffee at one of the local 7-11 equivalents - the coffee is really good, and the really big cup is $2.49. <3

I love it when cowfucker takes shots at people who graduate from real universities.

I like how most of these studies never focus on moderation. They always "recommend" it, but they get overly clickbaity with their studies. "Yes, drink 4 cups of coffee in a day, you'll be stronger. Just don't drink 15!". I used to drink alot, but 1 or 2 cups a day is good enough for me. I only do dark roast though. I'm not a fan of sour or tart coffee.
