Fun fact, there's this Legoland attraction in the Philly area I once went to with my nieces and nephew, and in a corner of the huge awesome city display I spotted a little Lego guy greasing up a light pole.

My main point was that I see stories about crazy fans in other cities doing horrible shit, and I know that Philly would get absolutely crucified if the same thing happened here, but it gets almost immediately forgotten. Meanwhile the national media constantly brings up a complete nothingburger that happened decades ago as if it means anything at all today. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy: "Everyone knows that Philly fans are crazy, so we'll keep repeating that Philly fans are crazy, while conveniently ignoring the fact that there are crazy fans doing crazy shit everywhere." It starts to wear on you.

I mean hell, Bills fans literally jump through tables before their games, and everyone considers that endearing and gives them a cutesy nickname for it? That's bullshit.

Bro, I hear the same shit from opposing fans from the rest of the Big -10 every Saturday in the Coliseum.  Philly fans get plenty of shit, but no more than any other high profile fan base.  It’s just the annoying consequence of rabid fanatic support.
