Wed & Thurs here we're supposed to be in the 90s again, no big deal in itself, but the humidity is supposed to push us into the 103-106F range. West of Chicago is tornadoes and hail for the next couple of days. 2 Quote
Top Gun Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Today is the nicest day we've had in a good while. May not even crack 80. My pale shut-in nerdy ass may have to go take a walk. 2 2 Quote

tsar4 Posted July 23 Author Posted July 23 97 according to an outside thermometer (ABC Chicago's weather begs to differ) with a heat index of 106F. Tomorrow is supposed to be MOTS. 1 Quote
The_annoying_one Posted July 23 Posted July 23 Currently high 80s in my city right now. But we’ll be back into the high 90s (and probably low 100s) by the beginning of next week. 1 Quote

katt_goddess Posted July 25 Posted July 25 It's been a fairly decent couple of days but tomorrow through the weekend it goes full ass again. with Canadian wildfire smoke. It gets so bad the whole area looks like an old fashioned Mexican film - everything smoked out and orange. 1 Quote
tsar4 Posted July 25 Author Posted July 25 Chicago's south side got 3-6 in of rain in a couple hours. Lots of flooded streets & under viaducts. More rain coming tonight & tomorrow. 70s coming when we flip to August (supposedly). Quote
tsar4 Posted Monday at 10:43 AM Author Posted Monday at 10:43 AM Yesterday we got up to the 100F+ heat index and it was our turn for rain that parked above us. 3.11" in an hour. This morning, the sky is bright orange and there's distant thunder. Another 100F+ day. 2 Quote
1pooh4u Posted Monday at 11:38 AM Posted Monday at 11:38 AM 7:30 am already 80 gonna hit the 90s w feels like temps of 100 my plants don’t like the heat 3 Quote

SwimOdin Posted Tuesday at 04:18 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:18 PM The entirety of Georgia other than the Blue Ridge Mountains is under a heat advisory. That’s (not) cool. 3 Quote
SwimOdin Posted Tuesday at 08:38 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:38 PM Temperature reading in my car right now 3 Quote
tsar4 Posted Tuesday at 09:56 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 09:56 PM Organizational picnic today. 90F & humidity in the 70s. People playing "bags", frisbee, volleyball, shooting baskets...then coming back under the canopy and complaining they were hot. They must have had a surplus of vodka, because my Tito's & Lemonade was 4/5s vodka. 2 Quote
katt_goddess Posted Wednesday at 01:42 AM Posted Wednesday at 01:42 AM We are looking at raising heat and an air quality warning that starts today and goes until Saturday frickin' evening because the heat dome is going to hold all that wildfire smoke in place. -.-; Quote
viperxmns Posted Wednesday at 03:04 AM Posted Wednesday at 03:04 AM I welcome brain freeeze just to make brain regular 2 Quote
tsar4 Posted 15 hours ago Author Posted 15 hours ago (edited) This thing tried to slip in under cover of wildfire smoke (Chicago currently has the worst air quality in the world). Either they're landing at the nearby airport (1 mi away from where I work) or they want to stop for some fresh made Fruit Roll-Ups (~.5 mi away). It's going to be covering Lollapalooza Edited 2 hours ago by tsar4 Quote
viperxmns Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Past couple days i got kinda used to sitting my bare ass and balls on this towel on my workchair in my workspace doing work nakey still almost too hot for the fan even my phone getting lowkey overheated indoors but it finally rained mightve cooled shit outside Quote
The_annoying_one Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I think my shirt is permanently fused to my body from sweat. Quote
katt_goddess Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I don't think there's a single part of me that doesn't have a cat fuzz stuck to it from the humidity. Poor little fartbrain has been sleeping stretched out by her scratching pad in the hallway or in the tub to feel cool even though she keeps wanting to cuddle on the bed [ too hot, she basically checks on me, checks to see if the fan is favorable to her and then hits the hallway because it is not ].
