By the same token, there will likely be intense pressure to keep delaying them until then, because of the inevitable self-destruction being laid at the feet of the GOP. I still believe if something happens to Trump, the tariffs vanish. But that’s a big IF. Edited May 1 by Jman 2 Quote

If we're lucky, this will be the last straw for Trump supporters and Trump will be McFucked. 6 Quote

Insipid Posted June 11 Posted June 11 (edited) I've been reading the Walmart Effect. I higjhy recommend it. The book is 20 years old, but it nonetheless explains how Walmart became the behemoth it is today, and how it has influence American businesses. Walmart is similar to Trump in a way; not necessarily the source of systemic issues but prime indicators of them. Hyper-consumerist car-dependent suburban culture did not start with them, but it is exacerbated by Trump and Walmart. Edited June 11 by Insipid 4 Quote
1pooh4u Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago He can’t fix the economy unless he fucks it up first. All Trump does is cause chaos and then he either backs off or makes “deals” that are worse than what we had in the first place 🫠 1 Quote
