That said, if he were to make it through the 4 years without turning the country into a complete post-apocalyptic hellscape, I fully expect he'll try and find a way to remain in power. He only floats this stuff now to get it out there and make it seem not so out of the question. Sadly it's not. If there's even a teeny tiny little bit of legal wiggleroom of doubt about what the law says, it's probably more than enough sadly for the Supremely bought-off Court jesters -- I mean -- justices, to come up with some crazy interpretation of the law that gives them an excuse to rule in his favor and allow it. Even more so if he ever gets to make another pick for it. 2 Quote

I thought no one could be nominated for VP if they didn’t meet the requirements to be President. Example, Sanders couldn’t run for president in 2016 and make AOC veep because she was too young for office. Biden couldn’t stay in the race and tap Obama for VP and then resign. That’s ridiculous. Trump can’t be a VP because he can no longer serve as a President. It’s 2 terms. Fuckin clown. “No president can be elected to more than two terms” technically a VP is not elected, they are chosen, but in a sense they are elected because both are on the ticket when we vote in the GE. Didn’t the Democrats get around primaries under that theory w Harris. That she was elected in a primary already by way of Biden? https://nypost.com/2025/03/30/us-news/trump-says-hes-not-joking-about-third-term-and-notes-an-apparent-loophole-to-limit-there-are-methods/?utm_campaign=iphone_nyp&utm_source=pasteboard_app A convicted felon isn't supposed to hold office, either. Ff to now, we can't figure out how he got all those votes because the numbers don't wash. He literally tells you his every move and everyone sits around like "naaaah". At some point, it needs to realized that complacency is never going to stop him. Got to cut his goofy ass off as soon as he dry snitches on himself. Pretty soon, the only way to stop him will be him literally dying and by that point, AI can be president. Edited yesterday at 01:08 PM by André Toulon 1 3 Quote

I thought a judge ruled they had to get the heck out of the SSA. Was the order limited somehow? Cuz otherwise, don't see how other than by defying the court's order they could do something this crazy risky. Unless these are just plans for what they want to do after they potentially win the legal battle over they're having access to it. 3 Quote

Schumer and Gillibrand are US Senators from NY and they voted yes on the CR, if that’s not infuriating enough, they then go on to complain that the GOP is doing things like cutting Medicare, Medicaid and gunning for social security, all things they allowed to become vulnerable through the CR. The threat might not be completely empty with our corrupt SCOTUS but it’s an empty threat rn. We can’t go crazy 60 days into his term over a theoretical 3rd term. Definitely not when he’s doing bat shit crazy shit for real rn and the GOP won’t stop him and the Dems either can’t or won’t either. 4 Quote

I also got to look into tariffs countries place on our goods. Idk if these 100% and 300% or 50% tariffs are even real and if they are real, does the tariff get placed on the goods all the time or does something have to trigger the tariff? Nothing Trump ever says is ever true or completely true. I hate that he makes me have to look shit up. It’s like the son of a bitch is giving me homework. 🫠😆🫠 4 Quote
discolé monade Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago the 'farmers' (those that i mention farm to port, not for american consumption) are some of the biggest welfare queens to date. they make money when they fail this is from 2023, In 2023, the median income from farming for households operating commercial family farms was $167,550, with a median total household income of $253,496, while the median total household income for all farm households was $97,984, exceeding the median for all U.S. households 2. Subsidies: Federal farm subsidy programs can significantly impact farmer income. Examples of programs include: PLC (Price Loss Coverage) - $33 billion in taxpayer costs projected for FY24-33. Highly subsidized federal crop insurance - $101 billion in taxpayer costs projected for FY24-33. ARC (Agriculture Risk Coverage) - $19 billion in taxpayer costs projected for FY24-33. It's important to note that the vast majority of farmers do not benefit from federal farm subsidy programs, and the subsidies tend to go to the largest and most financially secure farm operations. this would be the industrial farmers - field to port not your farmers markets and those small farms that you see fail every year. 3. Tax Breaks: Farmers can benefit from various tax breaks, including: State Tax Credits . Renewable Energy Credits . Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credits . Earned Income Tax Credit for Farmers with Low Income . Conservation Expense Deductions . Depreciation . It's crucial to track all expenditures and understand taxable income and deductions. 4. Insurance Pay Outs: Farmers often rely on crop insurance to protect against losses due to natural disasters or other unforeseen events. The amount of insurance payouts can vary greatly depending on the type of crop, the location, and the severity of the event. 1 4 Quote

1pooh4u Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago It’s amazing how subsidies so often go to those who don’t need it. Raptorpat Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Quote The Trump administration now admits that Mr. Abrego Garcia’s removal was an “administrative error.” Moreover, Justice Department lawyers said in court papers that there was little they could do get him back from El Salvador, and have urged the judge overseeing the case to reject his family’s petition to bring him home, arguing that the White House cannot force the Salvadoran government to release him and that U.S. federal courts have no jurisdiction to order his release. While Mr. Abrego Garcia’s case is separate from those of the Venezuelans who are challenging the administration’s use of the Alien Enemies Act, it raises some similar issues. Lawyers for the Venezuelans have persistently argued that their clients have had no opportunity to challenge accusations that they are gang members, and several have ended up in the same Salvadoran prison without any way of protesting their plight or returning to the United States. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/04/01/us/politics/maryland-man-deportation-error-el-salvador.html 1 4 Quote
Dark_Cloud_Overhead Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago And yet they had no problem springing the Tate brothers and bringing them over here.
