Looks like Trump wants to prosecute NY AG Leticia James. Not surprised she was probably going to investigate him for security fraud and insider trading

sounds like bullshit to me. They’re saying she has a house in Brooklyn that has one more bedroom than what she officially claims and some other crap

The argument is probably someone napped in the living room and that makes it a bedroom. Or there's an office with some small loveseat in it that is just big enough to sleep on if you're a cat.

And its definitely bullshit if its coming from someone who constantly lies about his own holdings in order to get tax write-offs and better loans. I'm guessing someone should look and see just how many 'homes' he's got hiding in NY now and who is leasing them.

There's eight frickin' pages! LMAO But yep, this is obviously some lame attempt at projecting the misdeeds she got him found guilty of in the civil fraud trial back onto her. Pathetic. It's I know you are but what am I on steroids. I'm not the fraudster. You're the fraudster. This is why sometimes I call him Pee Wee Trump. My apologies to Paul Reubens.

I've been unable to get the "mistaken" deportation thing out of my head all night. Everywhere I look it's either people articulating how bad it is, or goblins gloating about it.

idk man, I know I'm underselling it but it's extremely terrible

“Trump impressed with Bukele for how he turned El Salvador into such a safe country”

is roughly what that says on the fox ticker, blurb whatever

This is what really has me thinking we’re not living in a democracy anymore. This administration is going on Fox and the other propaganda networks and saying the SCOTUS ruled in their favor. Clearly they didn’t but now his fuckin base will say that they did.

Also Trusk supporters like to say shit like “if you weren’t crying about the constitution the last 4 years you can’t say anything now”

am I missing something? What unconstitutional thing did Biden do. What court orders did he defy?  Who did he send to a prison in another country for committing the crime of….just being here?

They think trump getting 24 convictions was unconstitutional because that is what they were told to think.

Biden's a democrat so obviously he pushed as much legislation as humanly possible to have guns banned.

Or maybe it's the "religious liberty" to discriminate against LGBT, women, and Muslims.

I'm feeling nervous about the Democratic senator flying to El Salvador . . . for some reason it reminds me of the Jonestown massacre, where a Democratic representative flew down to Guyana and got murdered.

There are parallels to be made here . . . MAGA is a cult and there are still many people who will drink the Kool Aid.

dead. like i said, that poor soul is dead.

now, the question remains. what are we, the people, going to do? nothing most likely, but this will continue, and now 47 is seeking to deport us citizens, that the regime deems unfit for the u.s.

i wish i could say this doesn't bother me. but it bothers me. i am 'brown' no one in this hick town knows i'm NOT hispanic, any military review of my records will show i once held a hispanic last name through marriage. i'm outspoken, a FAFO kind of gal, and i'm running for commissioner. and i have tatoos.

normally this is nothing. normally this would be shrugged off as 'she's batshit crazy, look at her tinfoil chapeau', but i have a few enemies here, and it wouldn't be past these assholes to call ICE for the shits and giggles.

yes, i'm absolutely being paranoid.

Next, charge them all with murder.

EDIT: Come to think of it, since Damn Jerk Trump is paying El Salvador, it's a contract killing.

Garcia isn’t coming back. Even if he’s alive, they will not allow it because it will be an admission of being wrong, which they never do. Ultimately he, nor anyone else, is getting justice here.

Each time this administration goes to court,  they can’t produce any evidence. Just like in 2020 with the election denials. Not one lawyer produced a shred of evidence to support any of their claims.

People need to start getting disbarred so these lawyer can’t frivolously waste  the court’s time.

that is not going to happen. the law offices are stacked now. they are only going to cover their collective asses.

and the u.s. citizen will sit quietly by, while their family , friends and coworkers get dragged off to the 'gestapo' and placed on 'transport' to the 'stalag'

talk talk talk

that's all anyone is doing is talk.

Amid a tumultuous and controversial campaign of executive orders targeting major law firms, the Justice Department is now adding the American Bar Association to its target list, according to a memo obtained by CBS News.

In the memo dated Friday and shared with Justice Department employees, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche ordered that "the Department of Justice will no longer use taxpayer funds to pay for any travel to or engagement with ABA events. Additionally, department employees may not, when acting in their official capacities, speak at, attend, or otherwise participate in events hosted by the ABA."

The memo from Blanche, who previously served as Trump's private defense attorney, blasts the American Bar Association as "activist" and willing to "insert itself into pending litigation." The ABA is a professional organization for lawyers, judges and law students in the U.S., and with about 400,000 members, it's the largest voluntary professional organization for lawyers in the world.

The Trump administration has significantly dialed up its pressure on Harvard University, not only freezing $2 billion in federal funding but now threatening its eligibility to host international students after school leaders refused to make key policy changes the White House also is demanding of other elite US colleges.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem sent Harvard "a scathing letter demanding detailed records on Harvard's foreign student visa holders' illegal and violent activities by April 30, 2025, or face immediate loss of Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) certification," her agency said Wednesday in a news release that refers to antisemitism but does not detail specific incidents.

The letter, which the government did not immediately release, accuses Harvard of creating a "hostile learning environment" for Jewish students, the Harvard Crimson student newspaper reported, adding, "It is a privilege to have foreign students attend Harvard University, not a guarantee."

Harvard is aware of the letter and stands by its previous statement it "will not surrender its independence or relinquish its constitutional rights," a spokesperson said late Wednesday.

(the news app refreshed and I lost the link sorry)

I didn't got to Harvard, I am way too dumb.

The Bar Association thing, there is the national association (ABA), state associations, and local associations. It's a voluntary entity separate from being admitted to the bar. I'm only a member of the state association, so it doesn't impact me directly. But the concept is that the ABA is pooling together legal talent it represents from across the spectrum to speak in a somewhat authoritative voice. If the ABA is getting involved the reaction should probably be "I bet they're going to make some good points" but fascist wannabes believe in silencing countervailing viewpoints etc.

I can’t wait to hear the story on the news about how Melania Trusk got a letter demanding she self deport from the country. Read a couple of articles where citizens are receiving such letters telling them to leave

Reading and hearing more about the Leticia James situation now the DoJ and Bondi are saying they received a letter claiming she possibly committed mortgage fraud. Zero percent chance that letter didn’t come from Trump.

I can’t believe they’re giving that shit the time of day. How could the SCOTUS possibly decide that the lower courts had no right to place an injunction on an unconstitutional order?

They've been doing a lot of unbelievable stuff lately, but I agree that even considering this is a new level of ridiculous, especially when the republicans had no problem relying on nationwide injunctions to slow or stop a bunch of Biden and Obama policies. It was fine then, but suddenly it's not okay?

I can't see them winning this argument though cuz it would just cause massive irreparable harm by opening up an incredible amount of people to deportation and be just a logistical nightmare if everyone potentially targeted by this administrations lawless acts was required to get an individual stay to protect themselves. As if there wasn't enough litigation flying around already because of all the insanity they've wrought.
