I don't recognize the names of most of the picks I've seen, obviously not thrilled about the ones I do but the couple I've looked into weren't (don't remember who, not names I knew). I'm also not very well versed in many names associated with it beyond gesturing vaguely at the Heritage Foundation, given I know more about the organization than individuals in it. discolé monade Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 on op/ed Now, in 2024, we find ourselves in a different, far more precarious moment. The recent election of Donald Trump to a second term has left many Americans, particularly those who fought so hard against the forces of authoritarianism and hate, feeling drained and disillusioned. There’s a sense that we have seen this show before, that we know how it ends, and that we’re powerless to stop it. Or worse, a sense that even though we are facing dark times, they won’t really affect our own day-to-day lives — echoing the tragically shortsighted assessment of so many European Jews in the 1920s and ’30s. 1 Quote

Dark_Cloud_Overhead Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Well he did it; Kash Patel for FBI Director. Never mind the fact that he's the one who hired Christopher Wray to his ten year term. He's apparently part of the deep state now and must of somehow pulled the wool over poor Donny boy's eyes. No wait, that's impossible because he's a very stable genius and could never be fooled. Clearly then he was a good man when he was chosen and simply became corrupted and turned to the dark side after being brainwashed into *gasp* actually doing his job. Can you believe that? How dare he. Can't have anyone doing that now in the new world disorder can we? Quote
discolé monade Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Republican President-elect Donald Trump said on Saturday he wanted former National Security official and loyalist Kash Patel to lead the FBI, signaling an intent to drive out the bureau's current director, Christopher Wray. 1 Quote

Unless, of course, SCOTUS says he has every right to make changes 'cause he's POTUS - but that would create a real problems. I'm not putting anything past him or his cabal.
