I had a voicemail, and it was like "Hi, this is Jennifer, I hope you're having a great day.  I'm calling about your outstanding student loans and how I can...."

That's as far as I was willing to go even though my intent was to listen to how I can pay these outstanding student loans that I don't have.

I'm sure I've had several more from Dave, Mike, William, and Fred since they all start the same, but I don't give dude robots the time of day.

I only get sales calls. I have no debts for anyone to call me about. Rarely it's some dude from another country but most of the time it's just a robot

I don't either, but whoever had this number before me did apparently....I've finally convinced most of the human debt collectors to stop, but the robots don't seem to get it.

I have a burner number I use once every great while and I get debt collection calls to that too. Thankfully I set it up to not actually ring out to me so they never actually bother me.

I don't answer the phone, no matter who calls. I don't check messages either. Phones rank close to the top on the list of things I despise.

It's kind of annoying, I had the same phone number since 2011 I believe, up until 2018 or 2019. It legit got to the point where I was getting damn near 12 robo calls a day. The blocking feature in my phone did jack shit so I ended up having to download some call blocker off the app store, which did a better job but for each number I blocked 2 more called me in its place, and whenever they do get blocked they still leave a blank voicemail. Eventually I had to abandon that phone number, only then did it drastically reduce the number of calls I'd get. I will say for the last couple of months it seems like I rarely get those calls, so that's a positive.

It was really annoying though having to change my number, I was locked out of many accounts such as my PS account since I had that number setup for security, had to make a lot of calls to get that number removed from various accounts.

As I was reading this, I got a non-robo call...from PR.  Blocked, don't know anybody there.

I'm getting at least 4 a day on my "landline" & Nomorobo indicates that 40% of my calls on my cell are robocalls.
