Have you seen the lady killers? Tom Hanks took a late 90s/early 2000s Southern professor role and instead went full Colonel Sanders. Hanks is polarizing at best. Absolutely ground breaking in some roles and total trash in others. He's great, but not really the best.

That seems like a pretty fair critique. He's a decent actor for sure, but yep.

Tom Hanks sucks, and he bought a new volleyball anyway. The best actor is Tom Cruise or Steven Seagal.

No one else could pull off the endearing, sad moment of the loss of a volleyball to save his own life...

Sorry, but I don't think he's ever taken a risk in the roles he's chosen.  Maybe if he played someone completely evil, like Henry Fonda's "Frank" in "Once Upon A Time In The West", he might qualify.

A mentally retarded southerner wasn't a risk?

Burt Reynolds wasn't that good of an actor.

He simply personified an aesthetic of the time.  back in the 70s and 80s......His later films were really hit or miss but I found him hilarious as Bogg Hogg in the 2005 Dukes of Hazzard.  Didn't he cameo on Friends a few times.....Or was that Tom Selleck

Did you know he was dead....I had no idea he died.

Tom Selleck was on Friends, Burt Reynolds was on Archer.
