When do you think everything will go back to "normal"

Normal is a state of mind. The pesimist in me anyway says things will never be quite the same, as folks will be much more aware I think that even when we manage to get a vaccine and beat this thing back, that it's just gonna be a matter of time before it mutates or another virus comes along and we could be put through this all over again. Hopefully the government in the future will take a long look back at all the stuff that went wrong and put some serious effort towards getting hospitals better prepared and making sure when infectious disease control experts ring the alarm bells next time they're taken seriously and steps are taken to immediately contain any potential outbreak.

The optimist in me on the other hand says that curve will bend down in a month or so, prompting some areas of the country to try and 'open up' again, leading to a second but less exacerbated wave of the virus. People will eventually adjust for the rest of the year to getting out and back to work in certain areas to a limited extent, but with certain precautions and safeguards, until a vaccine comes out early or around the middle of next year. After that, I expect stuff will resume for the most part as it did before, but without so much hand shaking or physical contact for quite a while.

I doubt it lasts a year at this point. It's only been a month... month in a half tops though idrk... Half the worlds already loosing their shit, and several sources seem to agree this state of life could be neccessary for up to 18 months. It all depends on how long it takes to sign off on and circulate a valid vaccine/treatment protocol according to them.

I have no idea but I'm hoping it gets closer to back to normal by June.  It would be nice if it got back

to normal before my birthday in October but it's not likely.  Either way if the virus doesn't mutate anytime soon

I should be safe from getting it again by the time I'm better.

I probably have it but I haven't been tested since my symptoms are minor.  I'm not sick enough

to be hospitalized so I don't need to be tested yet and actually can't be since I'm not sick enough to be hospitalized.  Only people with bad

symptoms get tested.  Started out as a sore throat turned into a headcold for a day, and after that a low fever plus three days of nausea.

Then back to only a low fever.  So I've been sick now since March 20th.  This is the longest I've ever been sick so it's very likely it's corona.

I've been staying at home so I won't spread it to anyone else.  Haven't used my car since the 21st to pick up green juice.  I didn't know I probably

had it then since I didn't have a fever.  Normally when I get sick it starts out as a sore throat turns into a headcold for a day or two and then goes away.

I've been well enough to pedal my stationary exercise bike in the basement for a short time for weeks now so I'm not that sick.  Just can't be around people and I'm annoyed

since I can't walk outside.  Only can walk to get the mail in my mailbox.

Let's see, there's a new version of the Bird Flu in the States and parts of Africa are now suffering through a second, larger wave of locusts.

Hopefully, we won't be reflecting on how nice it was at this time in a few months.

Yeah, we can totally count on a vaccine that hasn't been thoroughly tested for years for long term side effects...

Wow. Yeah, three weeks is a long time to be sick with something. Glad to hear it sounds like you're through the worst of it and hope you feel all better soon.

I've never felt very bad but the mild fever is an ongoing thing.  Also my other symptoms keep changing.

A couple days ago my ears hurt.  Not today though.  This morning I had a sore throat that lasted a couple hours and went away.

Now I have a very mild cough.  Which only acts up if I've talked too much.  I've been bored so I've marked it in my calendar.

I'm on my 24th day of being sick.  I'll get over it eventually though.  Thanks for the well wishes.

probably around a year. hard to predict. social distancing protocols are gonna be sticking for quite a while even after lock downs are lifted. we might even get new outbreaks in between if we get too careless. so who knows. what i do know for sure is we will be in recession at least on par with the 2008 one and into great depression territory i highly doubt we will be recovering fast from that.

Hoping for July or August.

However, I could see this going on for 18+ months if we don't get our shit together. The problem is that the general populations across the world need to be responsible in their actions. Not just politicians. I don't think people are able to do that.
