StarPanda Posted October 14, 2017 Author Posted October 14, 2017 So today Astros vs Yankees And tomorrow cubs vs Dodgers hype Quote
RPM Jr. Posted October 14, 2017 Posted October 14, 2017 Astros win Game 1 of the ALDS 2-1 over the Yankees. GO ASTROS! Quote
Doom Metal Alchemist Posted October 14, 2017 Posted October 14, 2017 Astros win Game 1 of the ALDS 2-1 over the Yankees. GO ASTROS! I don't follow the Astros, but I admire Jose Altuve. Highly excelling at MLB at 5'6" is awesome as fuck, I'm that height too. > Also fuck the Yankees. Quote
StarPanda Posted October 16, 2017 Author Posted October 16, 2017 The Dodgers with the walk off amazing Now both Astros and Dodgers are both up 2 games to 0 but no lead is safe Quote
StarPanda Posted October 18, 2017 Author Posted October 18, 2017 The Yankees come back to even the series at 2 games a piece game 5 will be crucial Meanwhile in the NL the cubs can't seem to hit and the Dodgers pitching is on point Quote
scope Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 When the Yankees can put some runs on the board that bullpen shuts shit down. Quote
quebecelegy Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 our bullpen is barely keeping it together. i still believe, but with how our hitters are playing, the deeper the game goes 0-0, the worse chances are. im thinking kris and rizzo are gonna wake up though. Quote
1pooh4u Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Astros win Game 1 of the ALDS 2-1 over the Yankees. GO ASTROS! lol Quote

Wasn't in the books dude.... I honestly think the better team won so congratulations to the Dodgers. a repeat World Series would have been awesome but Brizzo couldn't get going and the the pitching was off at the wrong time Quote
StarPanda Posted October 20, 2017 Author Posted October 20, 2017 Dodgers made sure the cubs wouldn't even think about a comeback Good for the cubs they have a good squad but Dodgers are too good this year Cubs need to fix pitching Quote
molarbear Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 I'd like to see a 2-peat from my Cubbies but it's looking more and more like it's going to be an Astros/Dodgers World Series I want to say I have the gift of foresight but both these teams were pretty hot all year The only thing that surprised me this post season was the Yankees knocking the Indians out and taking the Astros to game 7, I didn't expect them to get good that fast Quote
Doom Metal Alchemist Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Thank fucking god the world series isn't Dodgers vs Yankees. Well, go Astros! Quote
StarPanda Posted October 22, 2017 Author Posted October 22, 2017 It's on Dodgers vs Astros It will be an Interesting series Quote
StarPanda Posted October 24, 2017 Author Posted October 24, 2017 WS is today Hopefully it's a good series Quote
StarPanda Posted October 25, 2017 Author Posted October 25, 2017 Game one is in the books it was a really well pitched game but Taylor and Turner Homeruns made the difference A short game as well 2 hours and 40 minutes dam Quote
StarPanda Posted October 26, 2017 Author Posted October 26, 2017 Game 2 What a great game, it was intense one of the best in recent years Quote
molarbear Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Game 2 What a great game, it was intense one of the best in recent years That was some good ball I honestly thought the Dodgers had that one in the books Quote
RPM Jr. Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Series is tied at one game a piece as the setting shifts to Houston. I'm very confident the Astros can keep it from going back to L.A. GO ASTROS! Quote
StarPanda Posted October 28, 2017 Author Posted October 28, 2017 Astros up 2-1 Dodgers have to win tommorow or else it will be 3-1 and a game 5 in Houston yikes Quote
StarPanda Posted October 29, 2017 Author Posted October 29, 2017 Game 4 is in the books It was a pitching duel up until the 9th inning and then the Dodgers offense put it away Great series so far Tommorows game 5 should be something Quote

RPM Jr. Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 Astros win a wild one in extra innings! HOLY CRAP INDEED! The final score (listed with home team on the bottom; winner in ALL CAPS): Los Angeles Dodgers - 12 HOUSTON ASTROS - 13 This series has been great! It will go back to Chavez Ravine in Los Angeles for Game 6 on Halloween. Justin Verlander's scheduled to start for the Good Guys in Blue and Orange. Good things usually happen when he's on the mound. Doom Metal Alchemist Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 That game was nuts! And the right guys won. I found it odd that Astros fans are stealing the Giants' "Beat LA!" chant. Quote

StarPanda Posted October 30, 2017 Author Posted October 30, 2017 One of the best games ever Holy crap that was intense Quote
Suikotsu Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 As a Cardinal fan, that was the best game since Game 6 in 2011 (as was Game 2). As a whole, this has been the best World Series since 2011 which is great since they unfortunately had to cancel the Series last year. Quote

Are you that much of a Cardinals fan that you won't even acknowledge last year happened? Then again, my good friend Mopar probably would've done the same thing if he were alive today. Quote
Suikotsu Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 It's whatever. I do however think it's funny how quickly the Scrubs went from being lovable losers to insufferable jackasses though. Between Maddon whining about everything to the Rizpect© nonsense, it's no wonder last year's Cinderella is this year's evil stepsister. Quote
molarbear Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Another World Series going to a game 7! Quote
Suikotsu Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Another World Series going to a game 7! Don't fuck this up now, Astros! S: Quote
StarPanda Posted November 1, 2017 Author Posted November 1, 2017 It's only fitting that this series will go 7 Quote
Master-Debater131 Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Ok, Im going to watch Game 7 Sorta have to really. Quote
Master-Debater131 Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 The Astros have won the World Series for the first time in franchise history. Quote
StarPanda Posted November 2, 2017 Author Posted November 2, 2017 Not as exciting as the other games but good for the Astros Dodgers will get content next year Quote

molarbear Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Enjoy it man! No Bullshit, I can still watch the final out from last year's World Series and get a little misty eyed Quote
RPM Jr. Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 It's sinking in, finally. It's been a long time since I've felt anything like this. Quote
molarbear Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 @Doom Metal Alchemist Tim Lincecum signed with the Rangers in his 2nd comeback attempt. Quote

Yeah, I saw that. I really, really, REALLY hope he can become decent again. I'm 99% sure he can't become dominant again, but I'm still rooting for him. Quote
molarbear Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 (edited) I use to hope that with Kerry Wood, he turned into an ok Closer. Edited March 2, 2018 by molarbear Quote

What year did Kerry Wood become a closer? I'm interested in looking up the differences in his stats between when he was a starter and when he was a closer at mlb.com. Quote

I believe it was around the 2007 or 2008, I know they started him off as just a relief pitcher before they moved him to closer Quote

He's kind of like Jake Arrieta, when his stuff was on he was unhittable except his fastball averaged about 97-98 mph. Quote
wacky1980 Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 idk about any of you folks, but i just watched my team win on opening day. do you know what that means? PERFECT RECORD BEBE! bring your baseball chatter here. also, go cubs. #everybodyin #hashtagsareforwinners Quote
molarbear Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Cubs haven't looked too hot since spring training ended. I thought they were going to blow it today until that nice little surprise rally in the 9th. Quote
Doom Metal Alchemist Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Giants' Andrew McCutchin homered in the bottom of the 14th to beat the Dodgers. Apparently he's had a really slow start to this season but he got 6 hits in 7 at bats tonight, so, hey. Fuck, Joe Panik is hitting .393. He hit a homerun in each of the first two games, and I guess he just hasn't turned it off yet. Quote
