i for one really love going to the dentist to get it done. 

admittingly, it's been a few years since i was able to do this. 

lucky enough, my insurance gives me free cleanings...*but i still got charged for another set of xrays, assholes*

anyway...did you know that now 'they' 'sandblast' your teeth? that was a little weird feeling. 

*it's not actually sand..but some sort of powder*

man...oh man i love molesting my teeth with my tongue. weird..right?

err....i kinda hate the dentist. anything where someone else has to touch me on/around my face, i'm pretty much not ok with it. i'm sure if they knocked my ass out with the gas, i'd manage. but i'm just not really interested in letting someone else put their fingers in my mouth. 

god damn. kinda makes me gag to think about it.

it took me 2 years of fretting before i went to the doctor to have a mole removed from my cheek. it literally took fear of developing skin cancer to make me go along with it. 

you can keep your dentist visit. no thanks, not for me. not at all.

oh..don't get me wrong..i dont' want some random coming up and touching me. 

but when i know what's happening (i.e. dentist, eye doctor, etc...) i'm ok.

You mean... either you didn't like it when she kissed you on the lips / cheek / forehead or with tongue, or she just didn't do it at all, for a few years???

Yeah, I posted about that on the [asmb].  "Microabrasion".  I think they use a type of salt from the taste of it - my dentist used it to clean out a cavity for filling.  Much nicer than that freakin drill.

So you only got a regular cleaning, not the "deep root" kind?

i'm not sure? she was digging around pretty good in the gum line. i'm not sure. 

i really like this new technique, got all the coffee stains off like a champ.

I dont like people in my mouth. I think my mom took us to the dentist maybe twice when we were little and I've been paying for dental benefits but not using them. I take the miniature to his pediatric dentist regularly though so atleast hes using the benefits.

nothing wrong with making out. it just comes from like, hands or arms or random objects. and it's not that i wouldn't let ever let her touch my face, it was just that it made me uncomfortable as hell (and still does, but not nearly as much). she liked to practice facials when she was in her cosmetics phase, and it took every ounce of willpower to sit through those sessions at first. 

never had a problem with a scalp massage either. just front-of-the-head stuff.

I got dental insurance recently and really need to go have my teeth cleaned. It has been a while, and I have some deep stains behind my teeth from drinking coffee and smoking. I have extra bones in my mouth though, and plastic bits on the X-ray things always hurt so bad.

i have to take both daughters to get their's pulled.  8/20. 

both are not pleased but know it has to be done. i told them how i had 

all 4 pulled in bootcamp. only a local, that wore off by the 2nd tooth. had to have 3 more shots. 

the last one, dentist literally had a hammer and chisel.

oh same. the roof of my mouth, that bone always gets knicked. 

same with the stains. you're going to be so happy with this 'sandblasting' technique. 

it feels weird...but the results are amazing.

My hobby is growing tumors. It's been really productive.

I'm a year overdue for what's supposed to be a twice-a-year jaw check to keep blobbies from reoccurring [ a good chunk of my face is actually medical plaster and a steel peg from evicting blobbies ] but once I can finally get away from work long enough for that crap to happen, I also schedule a cleaning for the same day just to get the taste of rubber gloves and x-ray props out of my mouth. It's a full day of fun right there. Haven't had the micro-blasting thing yet. If it's faster and less annoying than the scrape-n-poke, I'm all for it. The faster I get that little bag of Crest garbage the better. :D

oh...they still scrape and poke, but that 'sandblasting' really gets those deep stains out. 

i know you don't smoke (?) but those and coffee stains are all gone, almost like i got my teeth slightly bleached. 

they look so purdy.  XD

I only smoke if I'm caught outside in direct sunlight. :D

My dentist doesn't do a "sandblasting" thing, at least not to me, but several years ago they started using this high-pressure water pick instead of those deadly sadistic metal picks for the main cleaning bit.  Soooooo much better.  Those death needles used to make my gums bleed like a Saw movie.
