I beat SMB3 and Secret of Mana with game genies when I was a kid. But when I realized Game Genie doesn't guard against getting knocked into a pit over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, no amount of infinite lives is gonna get me past this shit with some games. It must've either been Ninja Gaiden or Ninja Gaiden II that made me come to that realization.
