What's making your day busy?

Nothing planned outside of errands, some writing, and watching Ace In The Hole

Expand

Had to run a ton of errands. Two towns in two different counties. We just got back home. Of course, Walmart was jam packed. That place is always a pain in the ass to navigate through.

I worked today, payed some bills and now I'm doing laundry

I did laundry last night, cause I knew we were gonna be out all day today. Now, I’m trying to rehydrate. Shopping and just being out, takes it out of me.

leaving work in 2 minutes. breaking for about an hour, then going back up to the beer garden to do concrete work for one more agonizing evening.

Don’t get overheated. I don’t know what the weather is like up there, but it was almost 100 here today.

Your package is scheduled to be there on Tuesday.

Yayayayayay! I now have a reason to know why it’s Tuesday! xD

I think I meant “when” but fuck it what’s done is done 😆

Yay - one hour left til I close, one page left on the Banned Book list. If I'd stop fooling around, those two things might actually coincide.

I would. Can’t let the 2-3 ft balloon count get low. Damnit, Trigun. How did this happen?

I still have roughly 200 24 inchers. I'm not in danger of running out of those anytime soon. >.>

I do have only 2 36 inchers though, but that's because I hardly ever order any. They're almost too big. o_o

It’s a damn shame that they have everything I need, in one stop, and manage to be the biggest asshole of a store on the planet. I don’t “people” well, so being in a packed store, my anxiety jacks off, and not in a good way.

the high yesterday was only like 80. and we got rained out anyways, so oh well. did get to meet with the contractor and finalize design on the stage enclosure, so that's good. he might get started next week if i can get the concrete finished up.

I’m happy y’all are getting ready to move forward. The bar looks awesome. I checked it out on Facebook.

And 80 degrees, damn. It’ll be 80 here until Christmas probably.

we've been in high 80s/low 90s for the last month, but there was a cold front that pushed thru tuesday and dropped our highs by about 10 degrees for a few days. we're back up to 90s today.

thanks for checking out the bar! we're constricted to a very small space so we don't have room for a kitchen or anything else that takes up much room. that's part of the reason we're doing the beer garden. there's enough room over there to go as big as we please.

Yeah, your bar looked awesome. It’s been many years since I’ve been to a good establishment. Mainly because I don’t drink anymore. But I’d like to go to a good sports bar and kick back and watch a game.

We've been busy with business plans as well. Well, disco has. I help when she will let me. We’re all about the food. But like I said the other day, we are very interested in a micro brewery, and putting our small vineyard to goodnuse, by making wine. We’ve never made any, but my step father has made it from the same vineyard. We just have to try our hand at it.

you can make small batch (<6 gallons) wine with equipment starter kits that also run around $100. i've never tried it, but i assume it would be cheaper than beer for the ingredients since you're already supplying the grapes. just yeast and sugar and maybe some finings? not sure.

one of the great things about beer and wine making is that there's a massive online resource for them. reddit is great, obviously, but there are multiple communities dedicated to the craft, online swap shops for equipment and recipes, and free and easy access to professionals for just about anything you'd need to ask.

My friday was cool. I worked, went to the grocery store, went back after i forgot charcoal, grilled up some chicken, made myself a brandy old fashioned with dinner, played some video games until i was falling asleep.

Good times.

I have a close friend in Colorado who makes his own beer. He has crafted a beer similar to Guinness. Which if I have to drink a beer, that’s what I want. But he will gladly share his knowledge of the craft. We just haven’t had time to do it. But the wine is another story. We have plenty of Muscadines. I’m told that the wine my stepfather made, was quite tasty. I didn’t try it, because I hate wine. It gives me dry mouth. And heartburn for days.

That sounds hard to beat, Sponges. Not a bad Friday at all.
