It's apparently the world's most popular flavor, but I kind of feel like that's just because it's like... the most average flavor.

I blame that on the fact that it's the default when you get stuff à la mode at a restaurant. To quote a meme: Restaurant Georg is an outlier who orders 500 gallons of vanilla ice cream per year and should not be counted.

it's crazy how expensive vanilla bean is.

i wanted to make vanilla bean ice cream.

the cheapest i could find was 4 'pods' (?) for 7$

i'm tempted to drive to florida, to get a few plants.

try to grow my own. they take about 5 years to produce.

Vanilla is my favorite flavor of ice cream, but who needs ice cream, when you’ve got delicious lemon flavored cupcakes, with a cloud of delicious icing?

Vanilla pods are kind of crazy when you think about them. But people are just like, eh vanilla. DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS?!
