TrigunBebop Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 (edited) You need someone to cheer you up. How about I fill your house with balloons? I guarantee it'll make things cheery and festive. Edited February 17, 2018 by TrigunBebop
jackiemarie90 Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 That's not a good sign usually, unless work is awesome. But I mean losing interest in things.
Still Me Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 You can’t live that life man....my coworker died and she had no one....if it wasn’t for us at work I doubt they would have found her

bnmjy Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 Here's a good suggestion: seek a therapist. You're clearly depressed.

Granted, survival is also a possibility by persisting in your current situation- one may look at the life of amputees to note how one can make do foregoing full functionality. But which of those lives is more worth living?

Hornshire Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 Different people have different values. Most would agree with that sentiment. Some, apparently, do not. On survival, to live any kind of life, you must first be alive. It is generally not the goal itself, but rather a necessary condition for almost all other goals. It is certainly not something worth a great deal of celebration over, but neither is it something to be so casually dismissed.

I don't think he enjoys work as much as he is just miserable and bored and fed up with being at a loss of what to do with himself when he's on his own time, so next to that going to work becomes enjoyable because he has his tasks, you know, he has his little list of whatever things to do, it's a place where he's welcome that isn't his house, gets to see people he knows, probably gets complimented from time to time on the good job he's doing, so even though it sounds like he feels the company doesn't value his health, is detrimental to his mental health in that he's afraid to seek the help he might need, it's still the best thing he's got going currently and has been for probably a long time. This is the only sense of it I can make at least. I mean even Phillies has a harder job than me and I still hate going to work and being there so fucking much it's indescribable Edited February 17, 2018 by Nabloom
SwimModSponges Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 Personally I love my job and find absolute joy and satisfaction in it; but that's because I work for an organization that mirrors my values and cares about everyone; not just the team members. This guy needs some hobbies outside of work. I would definitely go to therapy, but apart from that, I would develop a hobby with clear goals that can be accomplished and will fill you with satisfaction. I can't tell you how much writing my fanfictions has helped me; nothing like hitting the end of chapter 14, wrapping up a storyline, and knowing that I just created something, even if I'm apparently the only one who will ever read it. It's still an experience.

SwimModSponges Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 Do you know how lazy and short-attention-spanned I was when I started writing? The very first chapter I wrote included the thought that I would probably get bored of writing the story before any of the action started. But you know what? I just kept doing it. Now look at me.
