Real talk though, a mecha series. But definitely the super robot kind, where MANLY SPIRIT and kicking reason to the curb can solve every problem, not the real robot kind where everything is hideously depressing and most of the cast dies. A hard sci-fi series could be great too, where you'd get access to something like Ghost in the Shell's cyberbrains (but hold the dystopian future). I'd kill to live in the world of Planetes, where there's a huge infrastructure of people working and living in space. At the end of the day though, if you're looking for pure adventure, you can't beat One Piece as far as I'm concerned. A huge unexplored world full of unknown mysteries, a nigh-infinite array of Devil Fruit abilities...sounds like a blast.

Hey there's a lot of good shit from back in the 80s and early-to-mid 90s. Back when they featured actual characters and actual animation.

A single person sitting alone in a recording booth is miles away from 70,000 people crammed in close proximity in a stadium.

Fully expected this to happen at some point. Honestly it's an amazing accomplishment that they managed to get the previous two episodes out as quickly as they did.

PlanetDescent, which was part of the GameSpy Network of gaming communities. It was dedicated to the Descent series of 6DOF PC games from the mid to late 90s. This had to be in...oh, 2001 or so. I wound up becoming a staff member and doing news posts and file uploads and such. The site eventually started to break down when its older coding wasn't compatible with GameSpy changes, and IGN has long since killed off the entire GameSpy brand, so it only exists in the Internet Archive now. Some of the staff made a new site that carries on the name, and there are still a few die-hards who hang out there, but I haven't been by in a while. There's another Descent-related forum I joined in 2002 that's still plugging along. ...damn I'm old.
