If you're even vaguely Christian, you might want to consider getting the house blessed. My parents were big into liver and onions, but I've always loathed it, partly for the taste and partly for the texture. When I was a kid, we used to make wild goose liver pate during hunting season (providing, of course, that somebody shot some geese). Very tasty, but I wouldn't touch liver with a ten foot pole otherwise.
