  1. But we do remember eventually. How's your colon?
  2. I obviously missed it, and didn;t see him quoting mid until after I posted (tried to edit, but the cat is helping again.) @SwimOdinsorry, dude. I doff my hat to your geriatric status.
  3. How many of us are there here, anyway? Grandparents, I mean. The only ones I know are you, disco, and me.
  4. Thank you! That was a wonderful and happy mental picture.
  5. Therapy is needed as well as psychiatric care. I'm willing to bet that a cluster b personality disorder is involved; further, my money is on narcissistic PD. Unfortunately, although there are behavioral treatment modalities that can be effective, narcissists don't seek them out because they don't see any problem (to wit, it's us, not them). Also, the therapy is hard work; one needs to be really motivated and strongly committed. It can also be a financial drain; I don't know how much would be covered by insurance, or what the cost out of pocket would be, but I do know that in the US, mental health is not a priority when it comes to coverage and reimbursement.
  6. Blame my parents. It's their fault I was born so long ago.
  7. Embrace your inner lumberjack, my brother. Even when I was young and had a BMI of 20, I looked like a linebacker.
  8. 🍻🎂🍻
  9. Never bring a phaser to a club fight. (Klingon proverb)
  10. Up, periscope!
  11. A simple yes is outside my scope of practice. RN's are only allowed to equivocate.😝
  12. Well, it depends on your age, your lifestyle, your known risk factors, and, because we live in America, your insurance...
  13. Non-invasive screening is preferred at that age if one is low risk - a colonoscopy is not without certain hazards (I've had a handful of patients who've been perfed during routine scopes through the years; it's not common, but it's pretty catastrophic when it happens.) For those who are high risk, colonoscopy is recommended starting at 40; some sources say 35, depending (due to family history, my two youngest siblings were recommended to start at that age.)
  14. Routine colonoscopies aren't recommended until 50 unless there's a family history. That said, it's a sad day. My mother died of the same thing.
  15. I saw them all. It's true what they say: Even numbered Star Trek movies don't suck. And Undiscovered Country was pretty good.

  17. You can get a lot of iron from greens and legumes, too.
  18. Nothing Marvel, nothing Star Wars since the original 3.
  19. Well, these things come in threes, so maybe you're ok for a while now.
  20. Yes. A body's got to do what a body's got to do.
  21. Whew! Good on you, mate! (Are you/ have you been ALS, or were you lucky?)

    Bitch...

    Love you too, baby. ♥️
  23. 11 or 12. Damn, I miss Payless.
  24. You have to find out if they're setting fires and wetting the bed to be sure.
