  1. That's... actually pretty accurate.
  2. Oh, you shouldn't have! It's beautiful!😍
  3. You've got a point - I have 6 siblings, and 4 of us have birthdays in September, 3 of us right in a row (21st,22nd, and 23rd)...I don't think I'll ever hear "Santa Baby" quite the same way again.
  4. The worst thing about getting old is having your friends drop dead. It's not actually a surprise, but it is kind of miserable.
  5. It's pretty, but now I'm kind of carsick.
  6. Week 2 of remote learning. Much better than the contingency planless that was last year, but it still sucks - Dexter can't be trusted alone with the internet, so he has to work in the kitchen, which means that I get to do 3rd grade again.
  7. Thanks. Just thanks. Now I have King Herod's song from Jesus Christ Superstar stuck in my head.
  8. Much as I approve of recycling, some days I really hate washing the garbage.
  9. Death from terminal chafing...
  10. Don't do it, man. It'll turn out like a golem - you know, you bring them to life and things just get out of hand.
  11. The first time I had Chipotle, there was so much cilantro on it (l think that I had a bowl) that it looked like a chopped salad. The second time, I asked for as little cilantro as humanly possible, and learned that it had nothing to do with quantity. Then I read about the genetic connection, and there has been no third time.
  12. To me, it does. It's one of those genetic things, like smelling cyanide.
  13. I don't like Chipotle - too much cilantro, and it makes everything taste like dish soap.
  14. Same here - same eye, even. I only wear glasses to drive, to make believe that I have depth perception.
  15. Red meat, legumes, oysters, liver. Make sure that you're getting plenty of vitamin c, regardless of whether you're just going to do dietary or if you take an iron supplement, since it helps with the formation of heme. Also dark green leafy veggies like spinach and kale.
  16. But we do remember eventually. How's your colon?
  17. I obviously missed it, and didn;t see him quoting mid until after I posted (tried to edit, but the cat is helping again.) @SwimOdinsorry, dude. I doff my hat to your geriatric status.
  18. How many of us are there here, anyway? Grandparents, I mean. The only ones I know are you, disco, and me.
  19. Thank you! That was a wonderful and happy mental picture.
  20. Therapy is needed as well as psychiatric care. I'm willing to bet that a cluster b personality disorder is involved; further, my money is on narcissistic PD. Unfortunately, although there are behavioral treatment modalities that can be effective, narcissists don't seek them out because they don't see any problem (to wit, it's us, not them). Also, the therapy is hard work; one needs to be really motivated and strongly committed. It can also be a financial drain; I don't know how much would be covered by insurance, or what the cost out of pocket would be, but I do know that in the US, mental health is not a priority when it comes to coverage and reimbursement.
  21. Blame my parents. It's their fault I was born so long ago.
  22. Embrace your inner lumberjack, my brother. Even when I was young and had a BMI of 20, I looked like a linebacker.
  23. 🍻🎂🍻
  24. Never bring a phaser to a club fight. (Klingon proverb)
  25. Up, periscope!
