I'm 34 years old and I still judge it based on how it looks. And a lot of it is pedo baiting bullshit. And there are too many shitty isekais with the same goddamn premise when we really need more good takes on the genre like 12 Kingdoms or Digimon and not "I can't get laid in reality so I died and went to idiot boob harem heaven." And a lot of classic anime hasn't aged well in either animation or story. None of that has anything to do with being woke though. Even sleepy people agree that you probably shouldn't sexualize elementary school children.

I don't know how it's going to break down. They still haven't announced how many episodes it's going to be so I don't know if it's just going to continuously run or if it will do like a break after 26. It's already been announced that it's going to fully adapt the manga. There are 23 volumes and they're only up to part of volume 4 as of this last episode so they could probably easily get at least 52 episodes out of it.

There's a lot of darker stuff in the manga. I get why the first series toned it down some because it wasn't a full adaption.

This is what a lot of people are missing. I've seen a lot of people getting defensive about the actors who apparently aren't that bad (I still haven't heard any of it) when in reality there are much deeper issues causing the problem.
