4.8 magnitude earthquake hits NYC and Tristate area….

The last noticeable earthquake here was 2011 and it was so comparatively small that my being a restless foot-tapper was enough to negate any effect for those sitting around me. -

I was on an internal zoom call. Office happens to be on eighth floor and I'm next to a wall-sized window. Alone in the office with a 22 year old. Realized the whole building was shaking, but no one was reacting and everything was still shaking and the dissonance just triggered the panic inside. 22 year old made all the obvious jokes, so I told her it's not my fault I'm not hardened from growing up under the pervasive threat of school shootings like her. -
basically the hair is shaved down to the skin and then for one reason or another the skin envelopes the top of the hair and the pore so the door is shut but the hair's still gotta grow, and so it just grows and curls around and around inside your skin if it's caught early it's basically like popping a zit and a hair comes out, if not it'll just like create a whole pocket between layers of skin to grow and fester in

i haven't heard any pro-shavers mention their love of in-grown hairs

It is totally weird to me when I realize that their smartphone is their primary device. Like if they don't have a PC for games or whatever they just don't have a computer or laptop at all. Having a computer used to be like a status symbol. -
I don't value a beard but I hate shaving. so I buzz it down to stubble with hair clippers my mom loaned me during COVID that I never gave back and then I forget about it until it's too long again.

I've only moved myself/with family. Highly curious whether you decide the trade-off of not having to do it but having to trust beefy guys to not damage your stuff is worth it.

I'm looking from my PC and I can definitely see it now. I thought there was a smudge on my screen but you're right. Weird.

sorry @rpgamer I totally missed this, but I am not sure what in the image you're pointing out

here it is it was definitely there all along https://unevenedge.com/topic/63127-asmb-nostalgia-and-shout-outs-thread/

I thought we had a central thread somewhere but maybe not so here it is. For those that missed the 20th Anniversary Reunion event circa 2023 or just want those nostalgia vibes to keep on going, let's use this as a mega thread for all things retro ASMB. Feel free to drop in, say a word, shout out you friends (feel free to tag if not for douchy purposes), ask a question, bask in the glow, or whatever else you want!
-
Better late than never! I think we have a general ASMB nostalgia thread in this folder, or if we don't we probably should.

Forget pounds or grams, we need to use units of weight based on humpback whales for everything. -

And the first ten steps were always just how to get out of your driveway and to the highway, step 11 saying which exit to get off was the first step that mattered.
