I am a not-drinker-under-any-circumstances and cheerios used to be my one exception where milk wasn't just an ingredient in a larger dish. So I had to follow through with the format or it wouldn't work.

I would just pour smaller and smaller portions into the bowl until the milk was used up

The past idk 10 or 15 years, basically only like for Star Warses or Indiana Jones. I've got so many old Regal gift cards that will outlive me.

I always thought of pancakes as the default and waffles as a special occasion, despite just being different forms of the same thing. When I was little we'd go to my aunt's for sleepovers and she'd bust out the waffle maker and that's like a core memory.
