  1. I think that enemy got...the point!
  2. Yeah, the FUNi model rides on the idea that they can have one or two good titles, and that makes up for a lot of the other small shows or clunkers that they'd be able to acquire for easy dubs. If there aren't any shows like Hero Academia or AoT in a season, they're going to have a problem if the premium streaming services beat them to the punch for all of the lucrative titles.
  3. That was my take on this. That Smartphone was cheap and mediocre enough for them to simuldub as quickly as possible. At first, they miss out on what they can and can't dub because there's only so many shows they can cover in their budget when they're juggling Hero Academia, AoT, and the one or two high profile anime. The ones that slip in the cracks and grow stronger, however, probably become harder to dub as the standards it takes to dub them go beyond just having your standby VAs give whatever performance they can push out. It kills the momentum that Re Zero and Konosuba could've had, but the model places a higher priority on the one or two big budget shows popular here while the cheaper turds can have a quick dub shat out, and whatever doesn't get picked up will be stuck in limbo. It's not too sustainable if they pick up worse anime and their tent poles get worse, but it's slightly better than Netflix's model of waiting until a show's over and the excitement has died down to release it all in one go.
  4. I'm trying to think of which shows Netflix grabbed that Toonami must've been clamoring for. My best guess would be stuff like Seven Deadly Sins, Magi, and Kuromakuro. Not sure if the Fate shows, LWA, Kakegurui, or the CGI shows would be within their line of sight. Seven Deadly Sins has gotta be the one that they are gnashing their teeth over losing.
  5. DLC fanservice outfits for the Confidant women.
  6. I still have LBP2, and pop it in every so often when I'm getting the itch for some platforming. I'm too much of a cheapskate to buy the costumes though so I just improvise with the items they give me and the paint tool.

  8. It's always worth it to see your character's asscrack. Even the DoA5 outfits that cost a million dollars to collect.
  9. Now that FUNi is in the business of simuldubs, I'd imagine it'd be hard for them to return to making dubs for shows they missed out on unless another season makes it lucrative, or if no one else has dubbed it yet. And that's taking into account if they even have the rights to dub it. It's also worth noting that it can take a while if they didn't simuldub it. Monster Musume just got its dub last month.
  10. We have to wait for the live action Mulan for them to return it

  15. I saw the whole video. It's easy to take someone else's word on what a study says, but I want to know what albums or songs they used as the basis for their case study. Because if they're comparing "The White Album", "Pet Sounds", or "Dark Side of the Moon" with "Teenage Dream", "The Fame Monster" or "1989" in the study, that'd be as disingenuous as making a study to argue new music is more intelligent because "Morning Phase" had a deeper vocabulary or more musical complexity than "Surfin' Safari". And would the study apply to the Yellow Polka Dot Bikini? Not every song is going to apply to the study's standards, hence why I'm saying that the studies are relatively subjective about whether ALL of the pop music in the 50's-60's had Shakespeare quality writing. Can people really complain about "Girls Run the World" being the reason why people are getting dumber when I could pull up the lyrics to "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and see exactly how intellectually stimulating that song is.

  18. The problem with these kind of videos is that they discount how much garbage was pumped out during the age when "music was good", while they only cherry pick the good bands/songs from their era of choice to make their point. I could make a similar video that said that old music is shit by comparing an album from Radiohead or Arcade Fire with Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka-Dot Bikini. With all the crowing about The Beatles' artisty, it's interesting that he neglected their first album's bubblegum pop vapidness. I'd dare this guy to say She Loves You or Love Me Do is more artistically meaningful than any empty love song One Direction has made. Pop music today is shit, but it's always been shitty. And it's not that hard to find good music today if you're not lazy.
  19. There's a couple ABBA songs I could blast, but I'm more well-versed in Madonna.
