I don't know, I don't know much beyond Gibson.
Looking it up on Guitar Center, it does seem to be pretty legit. But it features a whammy bar and locking tuners. On the one hand, you may have a lot of fun with a whammy bar, but locking tuners are a pain, you need to use an alan wrench each time you want to tune the guitar, if I'm not mistaken (I've never owned a guitar with locking tuners, but I believe this is what I've heard from people who have). And tuning a guitar is not like tuning a piano; you need to tune the guitar like every time you pick it up. The point of the locking tuners is to make it so using the whammy bar doesn't throw the guitar way out of tune after every use of the whammy bar. They do make guitars with whammy bars and without locking tuners that are more suitable for beginners.
