Doom Metal Alchemist replied to André Toulon's topic in Free-For-All
I didn't know there were new Metal Gear games. Someone's gonna have to bring me up to speed. -
Was "cooks" the last lithium filter
Doom Metal Alchemist replied to cyberbully's topic in Free-For-All
I honestly don't remember anyone breaking the board with that one. The one I remember people breaking the board with was "stiff", which became something like, "that one show on AS that's censored for some reason", so people would type "stiff" as many times as they could with a 50 character limit, and it would post that phrase the same amount of times. -

I thought Konami died. -
Buckcherry are best known for their singles (approximating the titles based on the refrains) Crazy Bitch and Lit Up. When they started getting big they were touted as the next Aerosmith.

Isn't that an indoor arena though? Candlestick is an outdoor stadium.

Is there even such thing as a "neutral" 69?

Movie scenes that traumatizeed you as a kid
Doom Metal Alchemist replied to Lytbryt's topic in Free-For-All
I don't know if there are any. My mom did a good job sheltering me from scary movies / scenes when I was a kid. EDIT: Thought of something. For whatever reason, Pinnochio freaked me the fuck out as a kid. The scene where he and the other kid turn into donkeys, the scene where he's like a circus ringmaster's slave, and oddly enough... the scene with all those tons of fucking clocks going off all at once. -
Hella visible tanlines in the shape of a bikini are awful though.

As a teen my nose was covered with black heads, but they never bothered me. I fucking hated the white heads I frequently got though, those are fucking gross.

My mom called 911 on a raccoon, the police came and shot it
Doom Metal Alchemist replied to Poof's topic in Free-For-All
I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and say she was texting while driving and didn't see the raccoons until it was too late. -
I'll take your word for it.

Does anyone wear clothes when home alone?
Doom Metal Alchemist replied to ITasteLikeSex's topic in Free-For-All
I hate being naked for no reason. But I'm almost always wearing shorts (and underwear) and nothing else, unless it's too cold to not wear more. -
This. Unfortunately I only heard it on the radio once or twice.

A massive loser in love asking for your advice
Doom Metal Alchemist replied to Doom Metal Alchemist's topic in Free-For-All
My first ever date was watching anime at my apartment with my date. I came up with the idea because our mutual friend that fixed us up mentioned she liked anime, which was the main reason I was interested. During all of our watching of anime, I hardly talked. At the concert, a lot of my focus will be on the bands, at a coffee shop, all my focus will be on her. I would love to do that. But the advice I had gotten earlier in the thread is not treat it as a "date", and I don't know how I would ask a woman to hang out with me for the first time going mini golf or bowling or something and her not thinking of it as me asking her on a date. The way our workplace is this would make this extremely hard. I'm sure that doesn't make sense, but it actually does. I've had a hard time finding opportunities to talk to her. But yeah, I'm determined to "close the deal" as soon as I can now. And I guess I don't "truly" know if she's interested, but I really think she is. A few years ago I went on a bowling "date" with a woman. Usually I'm really competitive but in that specific situation I was always really excited when she got a strike or spare. I can't remember who won, but she probably did. Don't matter to me if she beat me. If she's having fun, that's what's important. Judging by these responses I think I won't ask her to go with me to the concert unless we are able to hang out together before hand. -
I've seen Metallica twice. The first was ok, we were in the nosebleeds at Candlestick Park and the acoustics sucked. The second, at The Save Mart Center in Fresno, was one of the best concerts I've ever been to, because of the great acoustics. Unfortunately hardly any metal bands play there. It's like country music heaven though.

Ozzfest 2001, I believe. significant, because, Black Sabbath, my all time favorite band, were the headliner (did I really need all those commas?). I was 18 at the time, but very sheltered, and I was afraid of getting lost if I wandered on my own (I was with my dad, two of my brothers, and my uncle), so I only watched the main stage. Other than Sabbath, the only band I wanted to see was Black Label Society. All the other bands either I already hated going in (Linkin Park, Disturbed, Marylin Manson, Slipknot), or I hated after they played that show (Papa Roach, Crazy Town). Seeing Sabbath was awesome though.

Slight update.... I haven't talked to her much because I can't find much opportunity, but I did talk to her last week, and I noticed she was smiling while we were talking, so I am very optimistic. I am psyching myself up to ask her to hang out outside of work soon. At first I was thinking I would take someone from this thread's advice and ask if she wants to go for coffee.... but I just realized in a couple of weeks I'm taking a night off work to go to a local concert, which falls on one of her days off. All we've talked about with each other so far is work, so I have no idea what kind of music she likes... but I was wondering if a concert would be a good place for a first hangout. The fact that neither of us are working that day makes me think it'll be convenient for both of us... We literally don't have any off-days in common, we only have this one because I'm using time off for the concert. I'm familiar with three of the four bands playing, and they're generally very Black Sabbath-ish, if not in a heavier way than Sabbath themselves... so even if she doesn't like metal this might not be too much for her.... One of the bands even has a female singer, who knows if that'll be a selling point (and she's hella good, too). A couple potential pitfalls I see of our first hangout being at this concert are 1) This concert for me is HOLY FUCKING SHIT HOW ARE ALL THESE GREAT BANDS PLAYING IN OUR SHIT CITY IN ONE NIGHT??? so I'm really going to want to pay attention to the bands themselves, so if she doesn't like the music, I'll probably unwittingly neglect her a lot, and 2) In loud areas I have a real hard time hearing what people talking to me are saying, so even if I am not too distracted by the music it'll still be hard to talk to each other. But there's generally 15 - 30 minutes in between bands' sets at any particular concert I go too, and there's four bands, and of course at any particular concert the doors open 30 minutes to an hour before the concert starts, so that could give us time to talk... So, if the next time I talk to her I find out the music she likes might gel with the bands at this concert, would it be a good first outside of work hangout? -
My first instinct for "Japanese Black Sabbath" is Church of of Misery, but Ningen-Isu works too.

Is there even a Spanish word for "musketeer"? Maybe tres amigos was the best approximation they could come up with.
