I'm having a movie day today myself. Recorded Scarface off IFC and have been watching it all afternoon. Holy shit, is it LONG.

Oh, I remember how I ruffled plenty of feathers on the old boards. I kinda took over an AS paper thread after other people abandoned it. I posted a lot of links to German music. Remember that Swiss guy Uber_Herrkommandant/Old1? I picked up some Swiss German from him and would use some of that in my posts. There were the posts I made as Belldandys_Husband and how everybody would tell me to get some vagoo. When I revealed that that account was a parody of crazed anime fans, I was told I fooled a lot of older and intelligent board members. And now you get to see me as I really am, as the woman who was hiding in plain sight all along.

I didn't want to deadname or misgender myself on any paperwork. And I had no idea they didn't care whether you showed insurance or not until you mentioned it.

I usually read two or three books at a time. Lately, I've been reading Contact by Carl Sagan, Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain, and Einstein's theory of relativity. Shortly before that, there was Tr***y by Laura Jane Grace.

I prefer physical books. You can actually hold them in your hands and display them on your shelves. Can't do that with e-books.

I've been revisiting Unreal Tournament 2004 as of late. It's even better with the Ballistic Weapons mod installed. Once you've used that mod, there's no going back to the vanilla weapons. I had played Fallout: New Vegas a while back but have taken a break from it. I like to plan my playthroughs, but I have a solid M.O.: Do all the DLCs before the main quest and side quests. There's one playthrough where I started Dead Money at level 1, but that's not my current run. I also have a bunch of mods installed, mostly weapons and armor.

Not yet, but I want the shot. It's been a matter of having my name and gender marker changed. My name change hearing was in April. After that, I had to update my Social Security card. That took over a month because I had to mail in my old SSI card, photo ID, a copy of the court order for my name change, and the form to change my name on the card. In late June, I went to the DMV to update my ID and voter registration, then to the Medicaid office to update my insurance info. Once both of my new Medicaid cards have arrived in the mail, I'll go to Walgreens and get the shot.

I doubt it. Anime is what makes Toonami, well, Toonami. I came to it via Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z, stayed for Gundam Wing. Speaking of Gundam Wing, I wish they'd air that show again. I watched it in 8th grade and again by streaming dub rips in the late 2000s but never finished it.

I think that's a bit much. At least re-cast Luanne and Lucky with new voice actors.

I've watched both versions of Kitchen Nightmares before. The British version seems more real. The American one is so obviously staged.

I might cook some egg noodles in Szechuan sauce or finish some leftover pork chops, veggies, and couscous soon. But I'd really like some very spicy lamb biryani. I live near these two amazing Indian restaurants and they serve some bomb-ass biryani. At one, I always order it the spiciest they'll make it. At the other, I ask for the hottest sauce they have and dump that all over it. That's good eatin'! At the first restaurant I just mentioned, there was one time when I ate there with my aunts and ordered the lamb biryani, as usual. I had the chef make it the hottest they'll make it. When the food arrived at my table, the waiter crossed himself silly. At the other one, I had the waiter bring out this super-hot sauce that the chef keeps in a bottle under lock and key. I poured that shit all over my biryani. I sweated, my glasses fogged up, it was fucking awesome. Can't go wrong either way. And while I've always loved spicy food, I've craved it even more so since I began transitioning.

I pop some spironolactone and go to bed.

If I ever visit an East Asian country, Taiwan is on the list. China? Not so much. Taiwan kept all the old stuff that China destroyed under Mad Mao.

Yes, I was R_ACM, Belldandys_Husband, etc. Since the ASMB folded, I came out as a trans woman and went on female hormones. I haven't had any transition-related surgeries yet, though, but I plan on it. I would think that the handle and sky blue Verdana font would be a dead giveaway. It's not a R_ACG post without that font.
