  1. I don't consider myself part of any religion, and people that push their beliefs onto others annoy me big time, that goes for people that also spout atheism, they annoy me a lot more than people that spout about god and religion. There's 2 guys I worked with that whenever religion is brought up they feel the need to chime in on that. One of my friends at work deals with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and also insomnia, one thing that supposedly torments him every night is existential dread, and those 2 other guys talk about atheism whenever possible around him.
  2. how was middle school? did you get bullied a lot?
  3. For me it's just about 5AM, I have to work 6 to 2:30 today, but apparently I'm expected to come in around 30 minutes earlier than I'm scheduled, since I'm the one that has to turn off the alarm, unlock and bar down doors and shit. I got maybe 2 and a half hours of sleep this night. I did everything I could to try to sleep normally, I intentionally slept like shit Saturday night and woke up around 8am sunday morning, I made sure I didn't take any naps throughout the whole day, then around 8:40pm I took 3 melatonin pills to help ensure that I pass out, I stayed up for around another hour to where I'd be as drowsy as I can... and I only get 2.5 hours of sleep and have been up since. I fucking hate this so much man. In the last couple of months there were 3 important days that I got zero hours of sleep the night before and felt completely horrible. And then this past month there were 2 days that I had to get up for work at 5 (today and one day 2 weeks ago) and in both cases I only got 2-2.5 hours of sleep.
  4. I've really been thinking about replaying the Mass Effect trilogy again. I try to do so every year or two, and I'd say I'm due for another go. The annoying part though is because I go so long between playthroughs, typically I've did clean installs of windows in that big gap of time, so because of that it's an annoying task of reinstalling all my mods for the games. ME3 being the one I especially find annoying to mod since I have to work around the origins launcher. My very first playthrough was male Shep and I romanced the hell out of Tali. Second playthrough was as femshep and I romanced the hell out of my space bro Garrus. The last playthrough I remember was as femshep and I think I went full lesb in that playthrough and romanced Traynor in ME3. If I play the game through again I'd likely do male shep so I can be with Tali, the problem with that though as many people know, fem Shep (voiced by Jennifer Hale) is best shep.
  5. The DA trilogy is definitely one of my favorite game series. That said though, I've played Origins too many times to where I get sick of playing it. When it comes to DA2, I like it but the replayability is pretty low considering it has a pretty fixed outcome. I really do like the narrative with Hawke trying to look out for his family, losing almost all of them (or all of them) over the course of the game, the characters and the overall story is the main reason why I find a will to play DA2. First play through was male warrior Hawke, and I think I romanced the elf girl Merrill. I like Merrill, and will choose her over other fem choices since she's the better choice, but she gets pretty damn annoying, and the sheer stupidity of her decisions definitely tries my patience. My favorite way to play DA2 is as a fem mage Hawke, Carver being the one that survives. I like the character dynamic of that one, where his sister is an apostate and he chooses to join the templars, and then the relationship between fem Hawke and Anders, considering what he does at the end of the game. And then there's DAI, which I really like despite how a lot of people feel. Though I find it the harder one to get into since it requires a lot more time investment. My first playthrough of DAO was like 25 hours, same for DA2, but by spamming the shit out of the killallhostiles command I save roughly 10-15 hours in each game. With DAI though even when using trainers to enable 1 hit kill I'm still spending at least 30 hours in the hinterlands alone.
  6. the video on that page won't load. is this supposed to be a continuation of that 2011 series, or is it that one series with shitty Steven Universe art style
  7. I do think Jesus was probably a real person, supposedly they found his grave or something, although if that is the case you'd wonder if that means they have a DNA sample. That said though I don't think he's magical and all that. If anything he was a normal human but had the same impact as Buddha in terms of being a cultural impact.
  8. There's only one book worth reading. Enlighten yourselves, mother fuckers.
  9. You're breathtaking
  10. is that close?
  11. Back in high school you were voted most likely to have committed suicide by age 30, but here you are!
  12. I'm late to the party, what are these writing competitions, and what are the rules or guidelines of them? Do you just write about whatever, or is there a theme?
  13. it doesn't....
  14. Have you considered Fallout76?
  15. the little sociopaths moved on to Fortnite, and let's play videos of people playing Call of Duty (and Fortnite)
  16. I can tell with one glance that you're a major hardcore gamer, and that means you should focus on the only games worth playing. Five Nights at Freddy's, Five Nights at Freddy's 2, Five Nights at Freddy's 3, Five Nights at Freddy's 4, Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location And then there's also Minecraft and Roblox. Better not forget about Fortnite. There's also the classic online game Happy Wheels. That should be enough to last you til your 11th birthday.
  17. I can't really think of anything for me right now, but when it comes to doing remakes of old video games, with my best bud his favorite game of all time is Legend of Dragoon for the PS1, one thing he always hopes for is that one day they'll do an HD remake of it.
  18. And then there's folks like me that don't have any form of cable service, or online streaming service, and doesn't purchase movies or tv shows, all because thepiratebay is free. To be fair though, there's a reason for all those. For cable, we do have it, but I never used it so when we were getting new boxes and shit I told them to not even bother with my room. And I used to have Netflix but it was always a case where I barely ever felt like watching anything on it, and when I did feel like watching something specific, it was never on there. Also the only way I could keep Netflix or my ISP from throttling my video quality was with a VPN, and Netflix banned those years ago, so no money for them. I plan on buying a new house by Summer 2020, and I am considering getting Disney+ after I do so, since it's only $7
  19. Somali to Mori, I read a lot of the manga for it and really liked it, but I think people stopped translating it. It'd be a good chance to see how it ends. Other than that, literally nothing else stood out to me. As I've mentioned in past threads, there's so few new anime that I find myself watching, typically on average I'll only watch 2 new series in a year. One reason being a lot of them just don't appeal to me, they say you should never judge a book by its cover, but it usually holds true for me liking a series. Also I'm part of the demographic that doesn't like watching subs, at all. I did back in my cringy weeb days, but I don't do that now. The only exceptions I make are with certain series like Fate/ UBW and later Apocrypha where the first half was dubbed online and I couldn't wait for the second half to get dubbed. There's also the new Code Geass movie, which took so fucking long to be released. There were camrips all over the internet, I think I found one that was dubbed, but when I decided I couldn't wait any longer and ended up watching a camrip of it, that one was subbed, which I think worked out better since it made the dialogue easier to follow in that instance.
  20. sweet jesus, I live here in jolly ol bankrupt Illinois, and in my lil town here we have 3 subways at the minimum. One in a walmart, one downtown (which I'd never go to cause that part of town should be avoided after dark), and one in the center of town. We also have a Jimmy Jahns, which I do think to some degree is better than Subway, but yeah you definitely taste the mayo. Their food is definitely more filling than Subways, that said though I very rarely go there anymore. During my first year at my work place I went there a lot cause I wanted to avoid eating at burger places like Mcd's, JitB, etc. multiple times in a week, but I got somewhat burnt out on it, also I don't like spending close to $8 only for a sandwich. We do have a Firehouse subs in town, but it's very hit or miss. I do think it tastes better than SW and JJs, but to get the same size sandwich that I'd get from there I'm spending at least $9, and it's a thing where the service is extremely hit or miss. My work friends cousin used to work there (her eventually being hired as a manager at one of the other locations cause she was the best worker at the place, which isn't saying much considering) only like one or two people aside from her actually did any work, the ones that actually worked being people she brought with her when she first transferred there. I've had a couple instances where it'd just be me or very few people there, and it'd still take me 15 minutes to get my food cause the people are just goofing around, or acting busy to avoid doing real work. *I do want to expand on this, one example of them just goofing around is one time I went there, it was either just me or only one other person, and I was standing at the counter with no others in line, staring straight on at the two workers who were just talking and goofing off. I could have said something to make them do their job, but I wanted to see how long it would take them to finally service me, and it took at least 3 minutes of me standing there in front of them. there's also a pennstation and at least one other sub sandwich place in town, so yeah the midwest definitely loves them
  21. unless a global famine happens, that'll be the first and last time I'll eat a bug.
  22. Back when I was around 7 years or so old I ate an earthworm. Like, for literally no good reason I decided I wanted to eat one. I think it was because one of the cartoons I watched when I was a kid (maybe Rugrats?) had the kids in it eating them, so I wanted to do it. I told my grandpa that I wanted to eat a worm, and he just took me out back with a shovel and dug one up and said here you go. I washed it off first obviously, also I didn't chew it, just swallowed it whole... And then there's a friend of mine who some time earlier this year ate a tree grub for $100. He works for the park district here in our town, and they were taking care of a tree that was cut down, and a boss/supervisor/someguy offered him the money to eat one, and my friend did it, apparently he watches Survivor all the time so was mentally prepared to do so.
  23. Looking at the wiki page for games in 2020, so anything that piques my interest would be listed in order of release. Persona 5: Royal. It will be annoying having to play the game again without all my new game+ perks to make it more bearable, but the ability to actually do shit at night without Morgana being a fucking cunt and telling me I can't might make up for that. Maybe Resident Evil 3, but probably not considering I still haven't finished RE2. The Last of US Part II I guess, I thought the first one was solid. I would consider Ass Creed Ragnarok, but I loathe the direction Ubisoft took with the franchise, and the fact that I loathe the games as a live service business practice that ruined the AC franchise... so unless this game goes on sale for $15 I won't get it for a good while. Maybe Death Stranding when it comes to PC. Destroy All Humans, loved the games back in the day. No More Heroes III, a solid probability. That all said though, there's still a lot of shit from 2019 I have yet to digest. Such as NMH Travis Strikes Again; finishing RE2; Anno 1800; Pokemon Sword (which I still don't know if I want); I still need to finish Fire Emblem Three houses (have 2 and a half routes done, 1 and a half more to go). Wolfenstein Youngblood which I don't really want to support but I still want to play to see what happens with the story; Spyro Reignited Trilogy, which I got a 100% in the first game but pretty much put to a halt since. Link's Awakening; I would like to try out the Ni no Kuni games since they're on PC now. I've still yet to experience any of the Witcher games. There's also Red Dead Redemption 2 which I want to buy at some point, but don't want to support Take Two because how piss poor sloppy the PC port was. I still need to finish Jedi Fallen Order.
  24. It's really annoying now. I tried going to the offices yesterday to get it resolved but they were still down cause Christmas. I went there early today and they were open, but only 6 people were in, and the payroll lady wasn't one of them, she won't be back til next Thursday. I was given her email address, and I sent her an email about my situation and... Nothing. No cutting me a check for the missing amount, I have to wait 2 more weeks til the next time we get paid, her just adding to it. Which is really annoying. On one hand my next check will be pretty damn big, with the around $1050 I'd get from the new pay period plus the ~500 that I was shorted on, plus 6 hours of overtime since I had to still come in everyday of this 2 week break to check on the building, me getting one hour overtime for each weekend day, so 6 total. On the other hand that means I have around $500 in the bank, to pay a ~3000 loan and a $400 credit card balance. Technically it can be done if only do no more than $150 for each, but the longer this shit sits on my account the more it's gonna drag down my credit score. I was wanting to pay off my credit card entirely with my full pay, as well as pay like ~350 towards my loan.
  25. Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith - 11/10 The movie that concludes the saga. The sequels are just fan fiction
