yeah, that's my plan. I tried going down to the offices today but apparently they're still closed for christmas. I called the line for the lady that does our payroll and left a voicemail. Will have to swing by there tomorrow.

You finally manage to get hired full time for a job, which means a big bump in pay, but the person that handles payroll wasn't aware of that so you only get paid half as much as you're supposed to make. Like seriously, I was making $10 an hour, but now that I'm hired I'm supposed to be making $17 an hour, with guaranteed 40 hours a week year round, even when we're off for holidays. My check should have been close to $1100, but I only received $480, so not only I was paid with my old wage, I was actually shorted 2 days of pay. There were 2 days last week where work was closed because of a winter storm, but I still came in for both days and worked (I ended up taking a half day the first one cause when I got there I was told we'd still have gotten paid for it but I didn't know that, so I just stuck around and worked half the day, while the 2nd day we all had to come back and work even though the building was still closed).

What did people expect from a Bethesda game? For almost a decade now, every game developed (same can't be said for those they only published) has been riddled with bugs, being released as broken messes, most of which takes well over a year to be fixed, if ever, or depends on the modding community fixing it for them. And with every single game people disregard it, claiming it to be the "charm" of playing a Bethesda game. I'm both glad that FO76 finally made people wake up to this shit, and also appalled that it took people this long to see the writing on the wall.

Also spoiler warning I guess for anyone that hasn't seen the film, that being at the end of it.

Alright, bitches. Here we are, the conclusion of the Star Wars saga, at least until Disney decides that isn't the case. So, the million dollar question, for those that have seen it, thoughts and opinions? The non-spoiler answer for me, I don't think it deserves the way dying journalism is attacking it for the sake of getting them clicks, this all stemming from cast and crew denouncing the Last Jedi, journalists desperate for clicks using that to create controversy and review bomb the film. Is RotS good? fuck no, is it bad? not as bad as I was expecting, I walked in expecting to loathe and detest the film afterwards, but I actually found it enjoyable. I loathe TLJ and despise it and Rian Johnson (and Kathleen Kennedy) very much so, and with TFA I wasn't impressed by that and didn't like it at all, though I still considered it an enjoyable movie. As a lot of people have said about RotS, it is incredibly sloppy in the first act, which I consider the price to pay for course correcting the franchise as much as possible with TLJ. There were many things shown onscreen in the first act that really irritated me, but for the rest of the film things went a lot more smoothly. I already spoiled the movie for myself several weeks ago, with all the talks about the leaks and the 8+ versions of the film allegedly made, I will say that a solid 75% of those leaks ended up happening. I was glad to see things that were so fucking horrible to read were reshot and changed, although there were a good number of times where it's very apparent what happened on screen wasn't their original intent. I still found the version on screen enjoyable, but like I said I had many issues with things that happened on screen. The movie also introduces many plot holes and logic fails that spread to past SW films, some are legit mind boggling. I know people on this site don't like to read, anything more than 2 sentences seems to catch flak from certain individuals. In conclusion I would say RotS doesn't deserve the hate the media is giving it, but that doesn't change the fact that the film is still a mess and it legit feels like they were making everything up as they went. But was still enjoyable enough to watch even though just like TLJ I don't see myself rewatching it ever again. 5 / 10 for me.

my job is considered a govt one, and I'm part of a union now. the problem though is because it's not only a govt job, but a union one at that, if you weren't best friends with or related to someone that carries weight as far as hirings go, you're gonna get passed over a bunch. It took me around 2 and a half years of getting passed over 5 hiring sessions (that being 7 people that were hired after I started). So for 2 and a half years even though I was still working 40 hours most weeks, I was making less than half what the full time union guys were making, and I had no sick days / personal days / vacation time / health insurance / etc. And if there was a holiday that we were off for I didn't get paid. I've been through 2 holiday seasons, and if it wasn't for the fact that I got hired that'd be about 6 days total that I wouldn't have gotten paid for.

It'll be about the same for me. After this Friday, I'll be off work til next Friday the 27th, I'll come back the following monday and then be off two days after that for New Years Eve/Day, then come back to work for like 2 days and then work as normal Jan 6th. The nice thing is since I got hired full time last Tuesday I'm still getting paid the full amount for the days off.

I was finally hired full time at my work place last Tuesday. It is quite the thing really, I've been working here since the middle of 2017, despite working 40 hours every week except for ones with holidays for over 2 years I was still considered temp, and I got jack shit for that. For my 1st year I only got minimum wage, and the start of year 2 they gave us a poultry 75 cents raise. It wasn't until this past July they gave us a raise to $10 an hour, which was better than minimum, but still bullshit considering I was doing the same work that other guys were getting paid over double for. Having been doing this for over 2 years and having been passed over for hire 5 times it really felt like I was stuck inside of one of those mouse wheels, going nowhere. The idea of me getting hired felt elusive by that point. And then we got a new boss a couple months ago, and he saw to it that me and two other guys were all hired full time. I got hired last Tuesday, and became part of the union last Saturday. It still hasn't set in yet that I'm making a lot more money (won't see that check until after Christmas cause paid every 2 weeks), and now I have paid sick days and personal days. Come January 1st I'll have health insurance for the first time in like a decade. And the nice thing is for me as an individual it's at no expense. Still hasn't set in yet that I've finally been hired though. I don't think it will set in until next Thursday when I've been out of work for a week for Christmas break but I still get paid the full amount I'm due.

@Admin_Raptorpat Assuming it's not too many characters, can I get my name changed to "Fortnite Guy Keanu Reeves"

My favorite movie reviewer on Youtube, Jeremy Jahns, posted his spoiler free video of the film, he does a gotcha with the thumbnail where he looks all happy and excited, but in the video he gets straight to the point that there wasn't one single thing that he liked about the film. The pacing was very atrocious, like every couple of minutes there'd be one transition after another. He mentions how the sequel trilogy completely wasted John Boyega and his character. Talking about how we already got a kid from a desert planet (Luke, Anakin), we already had a scoundrel (Han), and how it would have been pretty neat seeing a Stormtrooper defecting and becoming one of the main characters, but how after The Force Awakens John Boyega/Finn has only been used for reactions and not actually pushing the plot or story. He talked about how even Adam Driver had a lot of wasted potential. He then mentions how even more bullshit OP they made Rey with the new powers and abilities they give her. At the end of his video he went on to state that The Rise of Skywalker is his least favorite Star Wars film, which to me says a lot since I've been a watcher of JJ's since 2011/12, and he was the kind of guy that was very vocal about how he doesn't like the prequels at all, and how he really enjoyed TFA. Although around a month or so ago, after Bob Iger's statement about SW, and how Kathleen and others were treating George Lucas and how he felt betrayed by them all, Jeremy made a video talking about it and how he finally went back and watched the prequels, watching them with an open mind and having the whole picture to look at now, the clone wars show I believe is something that gave him a better picture of what George did with the prequels, and Jeremy finally came to appreciate them, talking about how everything that happened in them happened for a reason, and how George had everything planned out, they could have been filmed better, but he finally viewed them better. For me, my best to worst listing would be: Empire Strikes Back, Revenge of the Sith, Return of the Jedi, A New Hope, The Phantom Menace, Rogue One, Attack of the Clones, Solo, The Force Awakens, and then The Last Jedi. I haven't seen this film yet, but imma bet it will be as low as the TLJ if not worse.

I haven't seen the film yet, but I've read the second most up to date leaks, I skipped the final update to them to try to add some mystery to a film that I otherwise completely spoiled for myself. A lot of what I read didn't sound bad on paper, this being one of the last versions of the film (them doing like 8+ versions), so on paper it sounded alright enough but it always comes down to how it's executed on screen. Without saying much about the film, one thing I will say is with the original versions of the script Kathleen Kennedy and Abrams were essentially going to kill off everyone that isn't native to the sequels, plus 2 more. That includes R2, 3PO, Lando, Leia (understandable on this one), Chewie and more. Now supposedly only 2 people aside from Leia kick the bucket (I don't consider that a spoiler considering Carrie Fisher died, which makes it obvious that they'll give her character a send off, kind of like how with Star Trek they did a send off for old Spock/Leonard Nimoy who died). So in short, I think the film will be enjoyable to some degree, and not like TLJ where every possible choice tore the fanbase apart, but there will be very key moments in this one that could cause a lot of outrage.

I would also say that of all the girls, based on what all I remember of them, I feel like Penny is the one more suited to marrying a farmer, and she looks the type that wouldn't mind living on a farm.

Abigail or Penny. Considering Penny lives in a trailer with a deadbeat mom, it compels me to want to marry her over Abi

the funny thing with the OST for Nier Automata is the fact that the lyrics don't mean anything, and for the most part all the words spoken in it aren't real words, Yoko Taro having the soundtrack done in a way where you're meant to be able to feel the emotion behind it without understanding what's said.

Time for a trip down memory lane, Snes- Super Mario World Gameboy Color: Pkmn Silver/Gold/Crystal PS1: Crash Bandicoot 3 Gamecube: Legend of Zelda Wind Waker Old PC: (I consider this a separate category from modern PC's) Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. Gameboy Advanced SP: Pokemon Ruby PS2: probably Resident Evil 4 or GTA San Andreas Wii: Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess X360: CoD Black Ops 1 PS3: honestly don't remember, I think I had Assassin's Creed 3 on it, so I'll go with that one. 3DS: Fire Emblem Awakening Wii U: Wind Waker HD Modern PC: Mass Effect trilogy or Dragon Age trilogy, The Outer Worlds is also a strong contender.
