Honestly I'm also not in the place to be applying for jobs currently (moving across the US in a month)

but I'll be applying pretty broadly, from adjunct professor positions to copywriting and content writing positions.

(Those last two pay more than being an adjunct does.)

I've never really subscribed to the notion that having a lot of money automatically makes you smart. There are plenty of people in the world who I wouldn't classify as intelligent, at least in my perspective, that make a lot of money. Our cheeto presidente comes to mind right away. As do the likes of people such as Kim Kardashian. I guess some people may consider people like Trump or Kim intelligent and/or talented in their own respects but I just don't see it.

 

Is there correlation in regards to being smart and making money...probably. But by that scale, the richest people in the world would be the smartest as well in some type of ascending order. But we know that's not the case....otherwise ghostie would already have become our supreme ruler by now.

 

As with anything in life, I guess it's a matter of perspective. If you have a lot of money, more power to you but I'd say there are plenty of things in life that I'd put a greater value on than money.

I make more money than you.  But not because of white privilege.  It's because I am a summa cum laude graduate of an electrical engineering program, and people see my brain power as a market asset.  The reason I am so smart is because my parents had the foresight to make me white and male.  It's got nothing to do with privilege and everything to do with just being responsible.

I mean, those schools get incentives for accepting minorities. I was in college with a kid that dropped out of high school but could catch an egg shaped ball of pigskin.... fullride.... and he had no clue what a common denominator was....
