Have you tried dating apps?

I have tried multiple. All free ones cuz a bitch is poor. 

But like it's usually the same people to swipe on. Has been for like the past 3 years. 🤣

I'm only on them for a short time but to see the same dudes on like every app. It's wild to me. 

 

And they all practically say the same thing. 🙄😒 

And that's pretty much like "lol let's sex".

I’d have to move somewhere less of a shithole for it to be compatible just in concept. And even then, not really.

Don’t want to be one of those guys that puts in the effort to go somewhere just to get stood up by a ‘match’ that never intended on going. Much more humility in taking a prostitute to Ramada Inn.

Yeah, its the same lonely people in your area on every app...every once in a while, you run into someone who moved to the area recently.

Nothing of value was gained from any of them....but i wasn't looking for anything of value so it worked out fine for me.

But if people can get married from meeting on ASMB, then anything is possible, so dont let me discourage you

I’ve dabbled out of pure curiosity on some of the free sites, but never put any kind of effort into it. Most of the single women in my area are just not my type, and I have virtually no interest in the dating scene these days.

I was engaged to someone from the ASMB. Lol so like I get it. 

 

I just don't leave the house that much because someone's either getting stabbed or shot. Soooo 🤷‍♀️ idk what else to do.

He was an IBer. We met in IB during high-school. He was my best friend. Then he knocked some girl up in college and she hated me and made him pretty much block me. Covid came and I looked for him on social media. We instantly connected again. I drove to Philly every weekend.

I gave up dating a long time ago.

Some bad relationships and a failed engagement will do that to ya.

I think I had an OkCupid account when I was in freshman year of college, but there weren’t a lot of people on there. I was going to make a Grindr account a year later, but got scared off when they asked for ID cause I was commuting.

Seemed like they'd gone way way downhill in recent years. Crypto scams and AI scams and low effort bots..

I'd imagine (but can only guess) you might have better odds on the other side of the gender fence. But better-than-shit odds might still be shit odds.

I mostly used them as form of people watching, "socializing" without having to, y'know, interact with anyone. But was getting increasingly boring with shallow profiles that provided no info. But, like many, I just kinda stopped when I realized I had no interest or desire to add that disruption to life. I'm comfortable in isolation and routine, and accepted the fact that I ain't likely to meet anyone in an appropriate age range on the same wavelength.

Kind of the vibe I get 

when people do message their replies are often single letters or a sentence that leaves nothing to build on, and then you see that account on there for years
