I knew him best as Chief Ken Hotate. One of the funniest side characters in a series full of great ones. Blew my mind to learn that he was on KOTH too.

Christ, such a senseless act. Also doesn't help that the letter from Jonathan's husband didn't come out (heh-heh) until a few hours later, so news articles conveniently ignored the homophobic aspect of this, at least at first.
