But really, ok is there evidence of this claim

I don't know about their manipulating space, but I know they can for time. 

For example, he's only been in office for a few months, but it seems like forever.

If anybody starts manipulating time and space, how would we know?  Our thoughts and memories are kept in time.  Change anything in history and our memories will change with it.
