My jaw dropped when I saw this earlier this year.

I can't help but want to see what happens next. Diddy and the other artists mentioned are my generation and honestly I can't believe this is happening.

Wait a second… Diddy is most definitely not your generation.

I was a baby-toddler when he was collabing with Biggie, so you do have a point there, but I did grow up watching Making The Band so technically he is my generation kind of, sort of.

Is Kanye one of the people who are on "the Diddy list" or is this case seperate?

They said that she filed a lawsuit before, but said it went nowhere, and now she's trying again. I think with that specific detail I think she's telling the truth. It's also not hard to believe that people with money and power would do bad things to lesser known people and think they'll get away with it 🙄

I am really nervous for what's to come, but I can't look away 😦.

'they' are all on the list. anyone that rubbed elbows. anyone that went to those parties KNEW what was happening and everyone SHOULD have paid in public.

why are you nervous? do you get a payout from the diddler or yexyzhobbitfucker? oh...no? then stop this faux concern. and you don't know anything OTHER than what you saw on t.v., or read on yahoo, just like the majority of 'us'

and those of those that were present for "what went down"....*so to speak* we ALL knew it was diddler when it was about big e.

when it was tupac.

when the female said it was combs that shot her...nah..it was lopez. and suddenly, she's off marryikng afflack. becuase that's what the media does, it helps these piles of rich human garbage, by deflecting and dangling shiny bits in front of folks like you. nothing wrong with it...but now here you are, trying to tell the older gen xers what's what.

when it was cassie BEGGING us to listen

nah sis. .....if this is really soda.

I do get your point, I was just concerned about Beyonce. I don't believe that she truly was involved at least not directly. If she's attached to this Diddy stuff then I would be inclined to believe that she may be one of the bigger victims here.

I dunno about the lawyer 🤔 ...

He claims that they asked for mediation, but wouldn't that lead to a settlement? I don't know if Jay-Z is innocent or not, but I do think he makes a good point. To say "Pay up or be sued" sounds like extortion  when Jay-Z has the right to defend himself without payment.

It's a civil suit. Why isn't it criminal. Isn't like 40 years before you can no longer file a criminal suit for sexual abuse.

you can now file under adult survivors.  but i don't know what the time line is on that.

lol. you said that.

hai.

In some states there is no time limits on sexual abuse because the church was using time limits to shift their pedos around to run out the clock.

Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia and Wyoming have all gotten rid of the statute of limitations for felony sex crimes. Other states have extended time frames based on age of the individual at the time of the abuse and whether or not there is identified DNA.

I'm guessing since there's a lower threshold for a civil suit, that was the route chosen.

yes. jay z did it.

he and combs are guilty of this. and i would bet, this isn't the only victim.

Sorry, I'm just trying to make sure. I'm kind of collecting all of the data on who sides with him and who doesn't on various websites in my head 😆. Imo the opinions on this seem to be evenly split in three ways. Some are saying he's guilty, while others are on his side. The third side is ofc neutral. If this civil case gets off the ground then I can imagine the public opinion being split like the Tory Lanez trial.

So like...why do you even care?

Buzbee seems to be going about it in an unethical way and to me it says everything wrong with our justice system. Imagine getting a paper in the mail telling you that they suspect you to be a perpetrator in a serious crime without specifying any details, let alone not even knowing the victim's name or identity who's suing. Imo that's wrong. Whether you're a victim or a perpetrator, everyone has the human right to defend themselves, and having this lawyer launching a campaign saying "pay up or be sued," not only sounds like extortion, but that goes against the constitutional right of having the right to have a fair trial, in which Buzbee isn't giving the people he's suing that chance. I don't even know how what he's doing is perfectly legal. He claims that he didn't ask for money, but for Jay-Z to have a mediation with the victim, but that would likely lead to a settlement i.e payment. For Buzbee being a high profile lawyer, the way he's going about this is vile. He's a public defender not a car salesman. If he genuinely believes Jay-Z or any celebrity is guilty then Jay-Z makes a good point in his statement, take it to court.

Could be that soda is infatuated with Beyoncé and the idea she’s supporting a rapist and an abuser might be difficult.

That too. She has earned the right to have her career at the fullest extent. She has already made it in the history books, and it'll be messed up if her husband alleged crimes mess up years of hard work and legacy. Even more messed if these accusations end up being completely false, especially releasing this news a day before his daughter's Hollywood debut. I hope Beyonce gives the performance of her life on Christmas day.

ms. ross was talented. what you would call a triple threat.....back in the day.

Agree to Disagree.  She wasn’t the most talented member of the Supremes.  Like, Beyoncé, she screwed over her band mates to go solo.

And then there’s this….

- She's been on top of the industry for nearly 30 years.

- She is the most awarded person ever. Male or female.

- Her tour last year (I went and had a blast) generated 4.5 billion.

- She's socially aware. She gives back to the community and she is respectful towards people with disabilities. In fact her anti-ableism is one of the main reasons why I always adored her.

- She changed the industry with her self-titled album with a surprise drop.

- She is the first Black woman to top the country charts.

- She's loved by politicians.

- She's been nominated for an Oscar twice if not more.

- She's been honored at many award shows.

- Her Coachella set is iconic and so was her Malcolm X performance at the Super Bowl.

- She's a genuinely excellent performer that rarely disappoints who works with intention and to me that's enough to put her up there with the greats.

- Her work ethic is unmatched.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion about her, but no disrespect or hard feelings towards you or anyone here, but Beyonce making history is a fact.

Look, I don't think the trauma of the bird death or the graphic description (it's fucking feet fell off) will ever totally wash away....like that poor birds feathers did, but after reading that....

it's obvious that we're still dealing with a very young and simple child who is dead set on using any situation as a means to prop up an idol...and that's fine. Pretty harmless to everyone except her who is simply setting herself up for disappointment.

I'm withdrawing my guns on this. I just need to wait on my actual target to fire shots...attacks on  SC provide little satisfaction

I just turned 30 btw.

Beyonce is a celebrity that I grew up with and one of the few celebrities I actually like and I don't want to see her legacy being tainted all for what her husband is being accused of, that is all.

Oh, and I don't like that Tony Buzbee guy. Not because I'm a fan of Beyonce, but he seems pretty slimey.

I mean, this is thee Beyonce we're talking about here. This isn't just your ordinary celeb. She is the biggest celebrity of our time, of this era as of the 2010s and now in this decade 2020s, and she's a celebrity I grew up with , so ofc I care. She's also the last few traditional celebrities we have, you know, the ones who came before social media. Losing her would be a huge loss for Hollywood  and the music industry imo.

SHe's not though, and she didn't get to where she is by being a good person so its absurd to suggest she's a national treasure.  That's just what celebrity is.

At the same time, the suggestion that she has some taint over whatever he husband purportedly did is rooted in history of misogyny.  The ominous spectre of Lady Macbeth, which was even in the time of Shakespeare's writing an insidious and craven attempt to delegitimatize females in power, is its own special kind of abuse that you're perpetrating by pushing the narrative of her having indirect responsibility for what Jay Z did.  She certainly does deserve to have her inviolate persona dinged, but only for what she herself did to become a celebrity and what she does now to boost her own profile.
