I completely get that.  I still have a problem eating rice pudding because I got sick off of it FOREVER ago...like back in high school.xD

I got sick off spaghetti when I was 10 in the school cafeteria, and I still have trouble eating tomato sauce.

Noooooooo Idk what I would do without spaghetti and meatballs in my life!  Wait...what about things like pizza?  Do you have trouble with it in small amounts like on pizza?

Going back to last night’s conversation, my family has always called spaghetti “pasketi” (not sure how to spell that pronunciation >_>) because my little sister and I couldn’t say the actual word when we were little.
30 years later, that still sticks in my family. I don’t know if this is interesting to anyone else. I’m just feeling a little nostalgic tonight.

Yup.  I still eat all of it, but it’s hard.

But you're okay with tomato-y things, right?  Like gumbo for example?

Yeah.  Cooked tomatoes as an ingredient in stews and soups is easier on my stomach because the acid is diluted.

Whew okay...I was over here thinking I'd hafta travel across country in order to give you a trope head-pat, just to make myself feel better about it all.

That's really cute.  This sort of reminds me of how we called farts "stinkoes" and I grew up thinking that was a legitimate alternate word for them that other people used as well :LithiumSmileyLaugh:

When I was little (like 5 or 6), I would call chocolate "chah-lick" and spaghetti "pusketi" and stuff. (I think it's a little kid trying to learn how to say words correctly.) Also, when it came to flatulence, we'd say "someone popped a bean" when someone farted. That didn't last very long though. lol

"How to speak words correctly." Yeah, that's just a weird sentence. lol

I'm making lemon chicken and rice at this very moment.  It's later than I'd like to be doing it because I kept getting thwarted at every turn today but I'm starving now so I know I'll enjoy it either way.  I'm just posting here while I wait for the rice to do it's thing.

I have been thinking of making a “What did you have for lunch?” thread. But I think someone may have already done it. Too lazy to check (or even make the thread), anyway. :LithiumSmileyLaugh:

Go ahead a make it haha I skimmed the top couple pages and did not see one for lunch, so if there is one it is probably dead now!

I feel it haha I have been lazing around since the morning watching movies all day. Basically been on the sofa all weekend!

Now, that, my friend, is a hell of an idea. I should try to find a movie to watch later tonight. The weather has also been pretty stormy today, so I will not be going anywhere.

Just having Burger King tonight.

A Bacon King and a large order of onion rings.

EDIT: DoorDashing in the middle of a major storm was easily one of the stupidest things I’ve done lately. 🤦‍♂️
