I know I've tried it.. but I havent in years... Maybe my taste buds have grown up a bit.

its not all the same, some of it is pretty shit, you'll want to go to a korean specialty store and see if they have the home made stuff in the plastic tubs. That's the real shit.

Uhhh. I mean I've tried it homemade or whatever.. I'm not big on korean food at all really though. Korean barbeque, homemade... especially is pretty bomb, but kimchi is overrated as a whole... I'm not even sure if I can get it here at all in stores, but I've tried it.

Some people like it that way though... I might have to make my own sometime idk. I think I've tasted it before it gets sour too it was just years ago back when I was in high school. It's alright. Just like I said overrated.. Especially when it's all sour and shit..  Because yes.. I hate that. AND I HATE SAUERKRAUT.

Me too, just ran out, going to hmart to get the giant as tub, also going to try making my own.

Takes a long time, from what I understand. Gotta let it sit, underground, like buried, for ages.

Most of the kimchi you buy in stores and get in restaurants is fresh and barely fermented.

Higher turnover rate. You would have to bury gargantuan batches to make a fraction of the profit... I want to make my own and enjoy a gift from my past self.
