It'll be about the same for me. After this Friday, I'll be off work til next Friday the 27th, I'll come back the following monday and then be off two days after that for New Years Eve/Day, then come back to work for like 2 days and then work as normal Jan 6th.

The nice thing is since I got hired full time last Tuesday I'm still getting paid the full amount for the days off.

got lucky with the light schedule and getting paid time off.

my job is considered a govt one, and I'm part of a union now. the problem though is because it's not only a govt job, but a union one at that, if you weren't best friends with or related to someone that carries weight as far as hirings go, you're gonna get passed over a bunch. It took me around 2 and a half years of getting passed over 5 hiring sessions (that being 7 people that were hired after I started). So for 2 and a half years even though I was still working 40 hours most weeks, I was making less than half what the full time union guys were making, and I had no sick days / personal days / vacation time / health insurance / etc. And if there was a holiday that we were off for I didn't get paid. I've been through 2 holiday seasons, and if it wasn't for the fact that I got hired that'd be about 6 days total that I wouldn't have gotten paid for.

Man I need more work.. atm. This retail store manager didn't respond to my voicemail though, and I'm already working for another local retail store... They just have me on their truck team is the reason for short hours I guess though they hired a lot of season help that they want to keep though so meh. I've been trying to not bring up how bad I'm desperate for work though. Fuck jumping all these people, and trying to figure out what's going on with their cars for them that's been really getting on my nerves. I need a break. No more helping people out for the holidays damn it.

nah we just take our computers home and forward the phones to the secretary

then if someone calls she says "oh raptorpat isn't available right now, I will have him call you back" and I just call from my cell from home or whatever

Going to hang out with friends and family mostly.

At some point I have to quantify a couple of precinct by precinct reports, but that won't take long since it is mostly updating. Other than that I might do some house cleaning and finally get around to building a new open book case.
