Wasn't much of a friend. More of an acquaintance. He found out he had liver damage and drank until it killed him. It's the saddest thing I've heard in a while. Life is precious y'all. Stay up.

Spoiler

Or just troll me for writing this. whatever lol

Its sad that you lost a friend but Ive heard people in that situation say that alot. Or people with lung cancer say they'll smoke until they die. If you've got limited time why stop doing the things you love thinking

Meh. I understand his mentality at least a little bit. Yeah, it is shitty, but I get it. Hair of the dog, YOLO, carpe diem and all.

But he went doing what he loved.

This is why I'll die eating a McChicken.

I appreciate y'all giving condolences. Tbh I have mixed feelings about this guy. He dated my mom when I was like ten. He was a good/bad influence on me. We would often go around the neighborhood stealing random shit (flags or anything people left on their porch) but that's the worst thing I ever saw him do. He was a decent person. He just couldn't stay out of trouble. Which is why he was in and out if jail. The saddest part of this whole thing is he had a daughter. Retrospectively, he was a part of my childhood albeit a mischievous part. Lots of my mom's friends were like that. Like they weren't morally upstanding people but they weren't pieces of shit either. What's worse is most of her friends are dropping like flies. A couple years back one of them overdosed, then another hung himself. They were all very fun background characters in my childhood. Death is a sobering bitch.

Tldr? I'm a stupid fuckface. Troll away!

Co-worker did that.  They knew he was drinking on the job, but they could never find where he hid the stuff.  Eventually, they let him go.  He stopped talking to everyone except his best friend.  His family even estranged him.  The friend had to go in to ID the body.  Pretty sad.

Grabbing a hair of the dog and sucking it down on the drive to work was a big wake up call for me.

Can't believe I was ever in a state of mind where that seemed like a perfectly reasonable, fine thing to do.
