Alright. I know I've been out of the loop for a while, but is this a picture of ghostrek?

And doesn't he have a YouTube channel?

Yes.

Yes.

Time for you to stare at a pic of fugg's hooha, so all the memories flow back.

All the nopes, bro. All of them.

It took like 4 months to get that image erased. Nope. And I will click zero spoilers.

Nope.

Learned that lesson the hard way.

The one picture I saw, that's exactly what it looked like.

I was waiting on the dude from the commercial to start his commentary. "Arby's. We have the meats!"

Actually she had an abortion so it would be more like Scarby's.

While nothing I can say offers any evidence:

I used to work in a historic movie theater. I and other of my employees/friends have seen a figure rise from the middle section of the smaller theater and move toward the aisle.

Others have often been tapped on the shoulder while looking through the projection room's windows into the theaters, though that isn't my story.

I'm not sure if this last one counts as a ghost story.

One night my friends were driving to my house to drop me off. One particular road on that drive stretches on for a long time as a straight two-lane street and curves sharply to the right. Just beyond that turn is a two-story house.
I was in the front seat, my best friend was driving. There were two others in the back. Since it was late and we'd just finished screening a horror film to be played at the theater, we were all talking about other horror movies. We got onto the subject of Darkness Falls, and about what was good about it, and what was obviously missed potential. As we hit that road I noticed something very tall, very gangly, move in front of the windows of that  two-story house, which had all its lights on. Since it was distant, our headlights were too far to pick anything up, and since we were talking about Darkness Falls, I figured my mind had made that shadow up. I was content to ignore it.

Until my friend, driving, said, "Holy shit, did you see that?"

The two of us were starting to freak out while the other two in the back, incredulous, thinking we were trying to scare them, given the conversation, started contesting what both of us saw. We turned that corner and the car started its descent up the short hill that followed. In the middle of arguing we did in fact see a large, gangly figure move in front of the house, another figure appears.

My friend and I start to scream, which causes the other friends to scream. Since it's also summer the windows are open, and it's only after passing the figure do we realize it's an old man walking his dog, and I can only imagine his surprise, hearing four adults screaming in terror as they pass him in the late night.

The last story is hilarious. Y'all probably scared him, more than he scared y'all.

The first story is creepy. I have seen many theaters claim to be haunted. An historic theater, with all of the history, seems like a perfect location for spirits to wander. I'll admit, theaters give me the creeps. No matter how old or new they are. Just something about them.

Yeah, I love telling that story, mostly because that last part is a pleasant very unexpected twist.

Given we were operating a small theater (two screens), it didn't take much to operate. It got to a point where one person (and a volunteer for the early evening shows) opened and closed the whole theater. There was only ever more than two or three people when we were assembling and screening films to be shown for the coming week (which is such a delightful skill to have! I miss splicing, adjusting, switching out lenses, focusing the lenses, the dreaded caution required for changing bulbs, threading film through the projectors, etc), or it was after hours and we'd pull up the DVD projector and get drunk watching a movie from our collection, or  It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

But yeah, ultimately there were nights where it was just one person cleaning and closing. It got eerie.

All creepiness aside, watching Sunny in Philly in the theater sounds like a lot of fun.

wife has a nice collection of evp recordings from her various ghost hunts. i went with them once to a graveyard and i'm sure i witnessed a glowing green mist/blob rise up from one of the tombstones and hover over the graveyard for a good minute before it disappeared. and my wife is convinced our house is haunted by the ghost of the disabled girl who used to live there 40 years ago with her parents. lots of other stuff, but i'm not gonna bore everyone.

The short answer is that if they had, everyone would know.

However, one must define what a real ghost is. There are countless accounts of people experiencing unexplained, and perhaps in some cases unexplainable, phenomenon. One can, if one so wishes, employ a "ghost of the gaps" line of thinking, and easily conclude that yes indeed, people have encountered the supernatural. But such an argument, in Our view, is tawdry, and cheapens the splendor of natural and supernatural, both.

I was unaware that there were different definitions of a real ghost.

Have you seen a ghost? Yes or no?

oh, yea there many different definitions. everything from residual energy to spirits or just demons pretending

I know there are different types of ghosts. But a ghost, no matter what type, whether it be residual, intelligent, etc., is still a ghost. A demon is a demon. But I only asked about ghosts.

yeah, that's true. but demons often pretend to be ghosts to mess with people and it's hard to tell the difference unless you know your shit about it. demons are ghost-like beings anyway. and both "ghost" and "Demon" is kind of a loose term
